My sister got married 7 years ago and we still watch her video like twice a year. It really just gives you better memories than photos.

Is video worth it?
IMO 100% yes. I would cut elsewhere before I cut out the video. The way I look it if I had to choose, I would rather put my money towards something tangible that I will have forever and that documents the memories of that day then say flowers, a gown, or vienese hour that are nice the day of but add no value afterwards. The day flys by so fast and I just think its so nice to revisit the memories every so often. Everyone I know who did not splurge for video regretted it. At the very least have your ceremony filmed.

If you can find a way to fit it into your budget I would say go for it because that is one of the things you would be able to cherish as a keepsake and you can always watch it to relive the memory.

Thanks, girls! Also, is it weird to use a different company for video than we are using for photo? Our photogs offer video, but it's way out of our price range and they don't seem so willing to negotiate...I don't need bells and whistles. I just want a basic video. I don't want them getting into each other's way on the big day.

I think you'll regret it if you don't. I think there are plenty of inexpensive options out there for you.I'm using a seperate photographer and videographer. Not weird at all!

No, I think a lot people do that, it shouldnt be a problem. A lot of people on here are using AJ Ingoglia with a different photog company.

No it's definitely not weird. I booked video before photo so I am not using the same company although the company I'm using provides both.

make sure you check with your photographer before you book an independent video company. some will not work with others.

I definitely think its worth it! The wedding day like what other brides said goes by really fast and it's nice to look back on that day. Got married 3 weeks ago and I can't wait for our video. Lol

I think you should definitely try to get video if you can. Video captures peoples voices and that is going to be very valuable when those people are gone. I knowI appreciate my parents video because although there was no voice I can see my grandparents moving and smiling and that is priceless plus you have something to show your kids.We have two different companies doing our video and photos. Ty Classic Video for a great rate.

I heard its actually pretty comment to tuse different photo and video companies. You should definitely do a video, you'll miss out on all the emotions you capture on video if you dont. I went with Starlight Studioz, great work and reasonable price.Welcome New Vendors
