Is your Christmas Tree still up and your house still decorated? I have to admit my tree is still up. I started taking down the decorations around the house yesterday, but the lights are still on the house outside (not lit anymore), and I still have to put away all the little things around the house.
I hate this part of the season. It's always so sad, and everything looks so BARE when the decorations are gone.

I have EVERYTHING still up! I havent removed a single thing and I dread having to do so. I wanted to go to party city first and get some Valentines day things so the house wouldnt look as empty when I took the Christmas things down.
My tree still smells sooooooo good and although its dead, still looks nice. Outside looks like wont be coming down till April in this weather! I leave some snowman things out since snowmen symbolize winter so I take advantage of it and leave some things out..I just hate this too though..putting things up are so exciting but taking them down...so depressing!

Karen, I share your dread of taking everything down, and I too, hate the 'bareness' of the house after the holidays.
But, I have to admit - I took everything down on January 1st, and my hubby had everything hauled back up to the attic by the next day.
So now I already have my Valentine's decorations around the house.

I took down all the inside decorations and all the ornaments off the tree during the week. I plan on packing it all up today. Waiting for hubby to be around to take down the actual tree and outside stuff.

Everything is down but still sitting around - I haven't gotten DH to drag the boxes down from the attic yet. I dreaded taking it down because it all looks so bare now. And I just finished vaccumming up pine needles this morning...

i must say ... it was really depressing looking once the christmas stuff came down, thers alot more room though....
...now im sewing sequins onto the christmas tree skirt from fortunoffs.. so its back into the christmas mood a little

Everything came done on New Years Day and is up in the spare room waiting for us to get it all into the attic crawl space.

Our tree is still up, looking as pathetic as ever (it's been dead for awhile). DH was supposed to take it curbside on Thursdy for the garbage men, but we were out late for my doc's appointment, so he'll be doing that all tomorrow. The decorations are all down, I just need to pack them up. That I hate.

We were late getting the tree this year, so everything is still up!! I keep joking with FH that the tree is staying up until Valentine's Day!! Our tree is dead, but still smells good!!?? What's up with that?

took the tree down today. you had to see the gazillon needles that were left on the stairwell when FH brought it down to the sidewalk.
it's so bare now.

we took everything down last saturday. we had just started and the living room was a MESS and my cousin called asking if she could bring the baby over that night so she and her hubby could enjoy a night out. i didn't want her to see the massive mess we had made, so that was the quickest un-decorating of the condo ever!!!

I'm going to take mine down tomorrow, but I'm going to leave all of my snowmen type things up until Feb. Its still winter, and the apt looks so dull with out all the festive holiday stuff.
