How should the groomsmen be color coordinated with the bridesmaids?
Do these things really matter? So much to think about!

My man is wearing a tux. We went to tuxedo park and they were AWESOME. words cant explain. you always hear about dressing the bride and all the different questions but this place definately make you feel comfortable and at home. He coordinated FH shirt to match dress (my dress is diamond white so he is wearing a diamond white shirt). Vest... i originally wanted him in royal blue vest and grooms men in silver.. well they suggested the other way. they say its like the bride is in white the groom too should be a little lighter. his tie yes does have some color in it blue and silver. they dress the men to a 'T' including the boutniere and all. #1-No, FH color coordinating w/ my ivory dress #2-wearing mono-cromatic tie #3-matching ties w/ BM's Only things that matter to you should matter, not 'tradition' JMO. I like kittythestray (s) mens suits. Thats what I'm shooting for.
My FH is wearing a tux with a white tie and vest. The GM are wearing tuxes with ties and vests that match the BM dresses. However, this is all in theory considering I haven't picked out tuxes, vests, or BM dresses. I think you should do whatever you want. I looked at pics in magazines and from other people's weddings to choose my look.

My fh is not into this whole wedding thing he says its for me .. He doesnt like poeple looking at him and him being center of the room like me lol.. so he wants to wear a suit .. whatever will make him happy is fine with me ..

Tux - vest and tie coordinated w/ my dress, bout coordinated w/ my bouquet
Groomsmen had ties that matched BM dresses..I think vests the same color are a bit too matchy matchy (JMO of course), bouts were the same as DH (ivory) because our other flower colors were pink and purple and I wasn't feeling that
And as a previous poster said nothing matters unless it matters to you...the honest truth is that noone else will notice or care or think your wedding is any better or worse regardless of anyones outfit

you could put them in pink ties and/or vests if you wanted but personally I wouldn't (again my opinion)...in your case I might just go with charcoal or something...and then maybe give them pink bouts?

Suit. He wants to buy a new suit anyway. He doesn't wear suits to work, so he buys one every couple of years when the need arises. HIs mom died recently, and he realized that he didn't fit into his old suit, which was a very good, very expensive one. In the interim he had been lifting a lot and he was way too big on top for the jacket. (Yes, I have a big, sexy man!) So he bought a quick and inexpensive one for the funeral from Men's Wearhouse, but he plans on taking his time and shopping for something new for the wedding. I'm voting for navy, as that's one of my wedding colors, but it's up to him. The groomsmen will wear what they have--I don't care, really, if they all match as long as they're all wearing dark suits. Or, all wearing light ones, as it's summer, but I don't think my vision of tan suits will happen. Just not practical, unless they rent, and my fiance doesn't want to do that.

You could have them in pink ties, or a striped or patterned tie with pink featured. Also, you could coordinate their bouts with the BM's bouquets. There's an article in the new InStyle Weddings where they show how to adapt the same flowers all through a wedding, while not having everythign the same. The bride's bouquet might have seven different elements of flowers, greens, and berries in it, while the BM's have four of those, the bouts have two or three, the centerpieces have three or so, and the nosegyas for the moms have two or three. Might give you some ideas.

My FH is wearing a tux and he is not colored coordinated to me in anyway. The groomsmen also do not match the bridesmaids. My colors are navy, silver and pink and the guys vests are silver but thats where any similariites end.

Mine is wearing a tux. All the GMs and the groom will be in the same tux. FH will be wearing a white vest and a white tie (my dress and flowers are all white) GMS will be in a black vest with a grey, silver and white striped tie (the BMs dresses are gray and silver)
I think its a personaly choice though. I wanted everything to MATCH. But they dont have to

FH will wear a tux, with his shirt & tie in ivory to match my dress. His bout. will coordinate with my bo-k. the BM's & GM's will coordinate- just by having the ties go with the girls dresses.

I would do silver or another 'neutral' color, not pink.
My GM had silver vests and ties. Groom had white vest with white stripe on white tie.

FH insists on wearing a Hawaiian Shirt to our wedding i just gave him that look , you give ur man (i dont think so!!!!!) well see where this goes!!!!

My answers 1. he was not color coordinated w/ my bok
2. i brought in a swatch of my dress to make sure his shirt wouldnt clash w/ my dress since my dress was diamond white. with a diamond white dress, the men shouldnt wear stark white or silver or it will make your dress look dirty
3. the gms wore black tuxes w/ black ties and vests and a purple shirt. the bms wore black dresses and had purple flowers in their bok's and wore matching purple necklaces. the gms bout's and all the bok's all had mini picasso calla lillies in them. dh's bout had offwhite mini calls
4. it's your wedding and u can really do what u want.
