I have to know because I live 9 hours away from my hometown and having to drive in for it :) Plus my work schedule is crazy so I have to let them know when is even good for them to have it otherwise I wouldnt be able to attend it if they randomly picked a weekend..ha

basically the same for me, although I don't live QUITE so far (more like 3 1/2 hours), but I am basically expected to work every weekend and need to know far in advance if I will be away, ESPECIALLY in March/April, which were prime shower times for me....so my shower will be April 5!

I wish it could be a surprise, but none of my bridesmaids live on LI and neither do I. I think my MOH and another good friend are planning something for the LI folks the week of the wedding. Then maybe my two California BMs will plan something for me out there. I get nervous about it because I don't want people to feel like they have to get me stuff - even though I secretly hope they do. We'll see what happens. I'll be happy with anything.

mine will not be a surpise even though I want it to be becuase I live in FL and have to travel to LI for my shower....but I am having one in FL also so hopefully that one will be a surprise

Mine will not be a surprise. The majority of my family and bridesmaids are from oot. They would basically have to hide from me when they got here. I would rather know and be able to spend time with them after they traveled all of that way for me.

My shower is about 50+ people (FH and I have VERY big families!!)

It's supposed to be a surprise but I think I have an idea of about when it will be...so I'm sure I'm going to be suspicious anytime I'm invited to go somewhere.

lol I have the same problem of course... so my mom already told me it would probably be the weekend after my graduation, because I'd probably be coming home anyways to take care of some wedding details. But FMIL told me that she'd probably be giving me one in Pittsburgh as well for FH's family, so hopefully that one will be a suprise!

No secret, because Debi only has two days when she doesn't have something else going on! And she's told me which day for the shower and which for the bachelorette, so I can tell her BM. I'm wondering how to have some elements of surprise!!!!!!!!! Mary MOB

I hope so. But I also made it VERY clear to my MOH that she is in tons of trouble if I show up in a scrubby outfit! She has to find a way to make sure I dress up a bit, so I hope she doesn't give it away! LOL

I don't want it to be a complete surprise. I want to know the date simply because my schedule gets a little crazy with the traveling I do for work and my second job.

They want it to be and they are trying, but I know the invites are out and since there's only 2 months left about, it has to be any day now. So I'm on the lookout for any suspicious, 'hey, can you please meet us here for lunch?' requests. I wish I did know in advance though so I could make sure I look nice and that I have my brows done.

I just hope I have a shower...

It just dawned on me the other day that the MOH and bridal party usually get together to throw the shower, but I don't have either Maybe my crazy sisters will come through.

I realllllly hope that I do not find out ANYTHING about my shower. My sister has it totally under control and in merticulous so I'm not worried.

My sis may have to let the cat out of the bag because I am such a homebody she usually has to give me a good reason to get out the house.
