Does your DH/FH do the SAME things that you do around the house but messier?
I'm going to ban everything bagels from my apartment - DH cannot cut one without getting poppy seeds everywhere. It's like he threw it around the kitchen before he cut it. I mean, I don't make that kind of mess when handling a freaking everything bagel.
Does yours do something like this too?

Mine does that too with the dirty pots and pans when he cooks. I'm not the kitchen fairy - clean it up!

hmm, mine leaves dirty pans on the stove all the time. Complete with the egg crusted spatula sitting inside of it. Salmonella much??
he also leaves his dirty draws around the perimeter of the laundry basket. That makes me so mad for some reason. I mean you were SO close, you can't get it ALL the way in???

My FH does the same thing; he puts the dirty dishes on the counter.
Mind you we have a dish washer, so he should put them in there, but I would be happy if he could put them in the sink.

Mine makes grilled cheese sandwiches in the toaster, and insists on not using a tray or any foil. He says he likes the taste of it when it's cooked on just the little shelf with the metal bars. The cheese always drips over even when he says it won't. HUGE problem for me b/c I have a major fear of fire b/c of a traumatic childhood incident. Other than that my FH is not messy.

No, but FH does the same things around the house but SLOWER. He is so freakin slow and it drives me batty - when he helps me fold the laundry, or making food (he takes FOREVER to put hot sauce on his quesadilla - he has to hit every spot!). I think he is trying to be meticulous, but I just want to yell 'Move it, Move it'. I have no patience

Ah, now you're no longer my hero!
What with my messiness and the goldfish eating, I've totally gone down hill this week!
I don't realy eat goldfish anymore, and I am getting a bit neater around the house...it's just that I'm a teensy bit clumsy and my good intentions often end up as broken wine glasses

Oh, I'm the laundry fairy...I pick it up off the floor, wash it dry it, fold it and put it back in the drawer where good clean laundry lives.
He doesn't know what laundry is.
THis is probably the biggest pet peeve:
He will pile the dishes and pots and pans high in the sink...it will sit for days! Until I clean them up. What really annoys me the most is that he will pile pots on top of the dishes so I can't load the dishwasher. He thinks that is cleaning up after dinner. I ask him to clean up-so he makes sure that everything is in the sink so no human could possibly do any washing in the sink.
Then he says, it's such a big pile-he doesn't know where to start!

Luckily I've been able to 'train' DH when it comes to the dishwasher. In the beginning, the dishes would go right next to the sink, then after another month or so, he understood the concept of the sink and they went in there. NOW after dinner he will actually put ALL the dishes in the dishwasher (mine included!).
I had to explain to him that the dishwasher was NOT a storage cabinet (which is what he used the dishwasher in his apartment for)

Re: It might just be me but I have to ask
I think we need another set of 'love letters' to our DH's!! Maybe then we'll get annyoing groom to visit again!!
Mine is just the cutest, he'll eat anything I'm eating except that he needs about 10 thousand napkins that he balls up and drops wherever he's at, leaves crumbs everywhere (how exactly does he get ice cream to crumb? ) and undoubtedly gets himself, the furniture and the floor dirty.
Stain resistant carpet treatment? Without a doubt!! The poor thing gets soda, juice, food dropped on it constantly!!
Meanwhile, I often relinquish my one napkin to DH (how do I manage to not get filthy?) and still keep my hands clean.
I also refuse to share a cup with him...soda, water, juice, whatever. He leaves his fingerprints all over the cup and makes it all smudgy and smelly. Gotta love that man!!

Re: It might just be me but I have to ask
he puts empty boxes back in the freezer and cabinets- then tell me we have no food- I got to prove him wrong- and everything is empty
no matter what - he throws his dirty clothes on the floor
he also leaves clothes in his car- then goes so far as to accuse the dry cleaner of losing them
and he thinks he can make a huge mess and leave it for the cleaning lady- so that means I clean for 2 hours the night before she come
ok - vent over
( he spilled juice all over the fridge this week- and then told me he didn't do it- it was all over the floor- who did it then? a ghost?)

Do you ever wonder how they got along in life before us?
