It might just be me but I have to ask

Original post by JanuaryBride06

Does your DH/FH do the SAME things that you do around the house but messier?

I'm going to ban everything bagels from my apartment - DH cannot cut one without getting poppy seeds everywhere. It's like he threw it around the kitchen before he cut it. I mean, I don't make that kind of mess when handling a freaking everything bagel.

Does yours do something like this too?

I told FH yesterday that he piles his laundry like I pile the garbage - and he said he would pile it to the ceiling, if he didn't run out of clean clothing

Mine's like a little kid or a puppy - whenever he does something, he wants praise. Do I do that after I cook dinner or clean the bathroom? Just freaking do it; you don't need a treat for it.

Aren't they all like that? Mine is the exact same way. It's like the Chris Rock joke 'what do you want, a cookie? you're supposed to take out the garbage!!'

I'm going to find that clip and next time he looks for a reward, I'm playing it for him.

I just give him a standing O!

I did. He looked - you could hear the crickets.

Well, then, as long as there's still stuff to throw away....

Thankfully my FH is the laundry king

But unfortunately he's NOT the dishes king. I'm obsessive w/ this, if I'm cooking, I'm cleaning as I cook. If I used something its in the clean rack by the time I'm through. He on the other hand will use 5 glasses during the day (why I don't know) and 3 plates & all will be in the sink FILTHY when I come home hours later.

He is also the paper & catalog clutter king. If I didn't move them they'd sit on our kitchen table for weeks. URRRRRRR

here's a list...

he hardly EVER puts anything in the dishwasher!
he hardly ever puts his laundry in the hamper
he leaves his balled up socks all over the apt (usually in the living room)
he hardly ever cleans up after himself when he makes eggs on weekends (I HATE CAKED ON EGG!)

I guess he's not too bad, I've heard of worse. and the irony here... he loves to clean!

Yes! When he cooks he makes the biggest mess He uses every pot and puts nothing away! It drives me nuts

I think we need another set of 'love letters' to our DH's!! Maybe then we'll get annyoing groom to visit again!!

Be careful what you wish for; the darling will return to tell us it's allllll our fault!!

It is my fault...I should have gone running for the hills when way back when he said 'my mom washes and buys my undies'...

Dina: I hate that caked on egg!!!!! He cooks breakfast for us on the weekends and ALWAYS leaves the pan on the stove. He thinks egg is easy to clean

I spend more time cleaning the frying pan and spatula than it takes him to cook 2 different types of eggs
