today was my shower. I was very surprised by where it was, i was so happy bc i wanted something modern and thought about this place bc of their decor but i didnt give suggestions because i stayed out of it, it was at Island in astoria. Everybody did such a great job, for the favors they did this whole gift set with eyeshadows, blush, 2 nail polishes, lipsticks, other make up, tweezers and i forgot what else plus on all the tables there were packets of drink mix that said a perfect blend and also Denises bridal shower with the date, i think they were cosmopolitan drink mix packets. The food was very good, and had a great time but it goes by so fast. Everybody kept coming up to me to say what a great job my moh did and how organized she was lol, all the girls were so great and it was like an assembly line when i opened up gifts, we actually did the gifts pretty quick. Everybody kept asking when i was going to open gifts bc it was going to take a long time but i finished and still had time left and we didnt start right away. Had such an amazing day. Our Fg which is in red in the pics was the cutest thing she kept throwing petals everywhere bc shes been practicing alot at home and wanted to show me, and then she was posing for me for pictures. Also FMIL got us a flat screen tv so that was awesome and so generous. I have to say my mom and MOH did a great job of picking a place, it definitely was the type of place i wanted and its funny bc i had posted on LIW before suggesting this place for a shower and said i would LOVE to have it here and it was too bad i couldnt pick the place
Oooh and the place i guess forgot to write on the cake hahaha but oh well i didnt even care what can you do. The funniest is the pic of me with the knife, my grandmother looks terrified LOL

OMG i couldnt believe how quickly the gifts got opened, i also thought it was going to take long...one unwrapped, the other opened the card and handed it to me with the gift, another one wrote it down, then after it was handed over to somebody who would take the gift and bring it to the other side of the room, closer to the stairs. And one person putting all the wrapping paper in the garbage

ok here goes my spew, lol...you looked beautiful yesterday, the comments from when you walked in were so very flattering, from the tan (lol) to the dress, you really did look like the perfect bride-to-be...i especially liked when i overheard one of the older women from Joe's family turn to her friend and say, 'she is just perfect for Joe'...you are kid...Anne, was all over the place because she was out to throw the best shower she could...she definitley did it, was great, i think everyone enjoyed themselves...looking at the pics now and realizing two things, one i need a new camera so that the wedding pics i take are of much better quality (i am L'Artiste and getting some publicity these days so have to step up, haha!)...two i love my friends and these times truly do feel unreal...we've come a long way from 141 Babygirl...and everytime i come to your crib i expect impeccably clean rugs & carpeting! LOL!

that's exactly how it should be done - i have 3 sisters and between all their bridal and baby showers we have it down to a science - just like you said above. makes it go so quickly because that can get pretty boring for the guests after a while.

Yeah i got it on friday actually so it was perfect, on saturday just bought shoes and the red necklace. But yeah at first i was like i wasnt sure about black but then i realized that it doesnt matter and i loved the black with the red shoes so just to wear it. Im glad bc it was also a very comfortable dress
