Since I was busy trying to be a super BM, I didn't have a chance to take pics....as I was helping Danielle open gifts, but she had a great shower today. The food was delicious and she got a bunch of GREAT stuff!

i'm tiiiiiiiiired so i'm heading to bed, but will scoop tomorrow. (if dani isn't too tired to scoop, she'll share i'm sure.)
i would just like to say that HIGHLIGHT of the day for me, was that being the ONLY hispanic guest, i was asked TWICE:
'Do you work here?'
i guess my makeup on, hair all curled and bouncy, wearing a dress and sitting next to the BRIDE wasn't enough for some of the guests...since all the other spanish folk were busboys and server assistants at the restaurant. i just had to laugh so hard.

OMG Melissa, SHUT UP!!!!!! I'm sorry but this is HILARIOUS!!!!! I'm hispanic too so I can JUST imagine something like that happening to me! THAT IS TOO FUNNY (totally rude, but funny).

Not a surprise- I didn't want it to be... I'm the type that secretly opens my X-mas presents two weeks early and then re-wraps them
Vinny picked out the dress with me (like Nic said) and it was perfect! He is soooo good to take shopping- he is patient and has a good eye- If he wasn't all over me all the time I would swear he had gay tendencies
HA! Hair and make up-- what an odyssey that was! I was scheduled at Bocu in Commack (made the appointment two weeks ago) for my make up at 9am and hair at 10am. I get there at 9am and the girl at the desk tells me there's no one there to do my make up...
So, a few minutes passes b/c I think she is just late and finally the girl calls her home and she answers! She says, casually, 'oh yeah- I had to cancel'.... ummm?? I was like 'HUH?!' So she tells the girl that she called me but I was home yesterday a little under the weather-- resting-- so that I could be 100% for the Shower... So, I told her that I would have been there if she called and she says she left a message-- but we got NO message. Then, the girl at the desk tells me 'she broke her wrist'... Five minutes later someone else comes up and says 'it was a family emergency'.. I was like yeeeeahhh OK So, I was in a panic- I mean, what if this was my wedding day and now it's getting late and the Shower is at 12:30! So, they go 'we can still do your hair'.. I was like 'honestly, I don't want to give you my business' and I left and went to Cactus in Commack who TOTALLY saved the day-- I called and they sqeezed me in last minute and did a GREAT job AND it was cheaper than Bocu!
I was a regular at Bocu and I will never go back.
What they did was unacceptable and irresponsible and how they handled it was 10 times worse!
So, that was the stress but I quickly took care of it by calling Cactus! They were a lifesaver... I still could not imagine if it was my wedding day-- WHAT I would have done! Shame on Bocu!
Arnold Diaz should be standing outside their window right now just shaking his pointer finger and hand 'shame, shame, shame... SHAME ON YOU!'

Seriously, I'm so HORRIFIED...
But that is my CLUELESS Aunt who ALWAYS sticks her foot in her mouth from the STICKS in Pennsylvania--- And hey, the other person was from Vin's side so they are on their own!!! Alls I know is that no one from MY side who is BLOOD related did that!!!!

Dani what an awesome showe! The doos was amazing and you got some great gifts. I had a blast with Kristi and her mom, and to it was so nice meeting the rest of the crew.
Melissa did an awesome job. . she cares so much about you which is so great. Oh. . and the dustbuster thing, I just kept saying 'how could this happen, something is wrong with the registry'

then, my wonderful bridesmaids (minus one who had to leave early)
vin and i love to fall asleep to the sound of the rain-- so, on rainy nights that works but most of the time we don't have that-- BUT NOW with our new nature sound machine we fell asleep to rain last night-- and we can every night if we want!!!! i love it!!!!
