Italian...

I am trying for an Italian theme. Although my colors are not so much.... Eggplant and celedion (not sure how you spell)

I am going to give oil and vinegar favors
Glass compote with red and green grapes for my center pieces.

I am not sure what else I can do to incorporate my theme....

Any suggestions?

Hmm what do you mean by italian? The food? the culture? Its pretty broad. You can totally go with a vineyard theme which would be very romantic and tons of ides out there if you just google vineyard themes. (done it for someone else) You could name each table after a different town in italy, also using names of places that relatives may be from if they come from Italy.

Italian food sticks with the theme. Instead of simple table numbers, try finding italian postcards-one representing a different part of the country and frame them. That way the tables have a unique name and a little bit of interesting trivia if you also add a 'fact sheet' for the table. Gives guests something to look at and talk about.

If you DIY your own invites and are handy with photoshop, watermarking a beautiful picture of italy, an italian vineayard, etc, on the back beneath the writing would tie in the theme as well.

What i have so far: is for my center pieces red and green grapes in a glass compote. I was thinking on naming the tables after cities in italy.
I am having my reception at the Gatsby.. so it reminds of this theme for soem reason.

I jsut found the perfect sae the dates with grapes on them.. so i think it will be more of a vineyard theme. thank you so much! i am going to google!!

Glad to help! Its why we are all here. If you search on this site, there are also theme threads for vineyards. I will try to copy and paste one here that had tons of ideas but not sure it will work since not on my computer (friends is wacky). Just go to SEARCH is it doesnt work then type vineyards and search 'theme weddings.'
