I didnt even want to do favors, but grandmother said I have to. We are having big candy apples made (wrapped in color celophane and tied with a copper color ribbon) to go along with our fall theme.

Sad but true. So many cute favors that I probably won't chose. I've been thinking something lenox or mikasa too. Or maybe something practical, S&P shakers, espresso cups, etc.

Regardless I want to top them off with the Jordan Almond Flowers from this site:

It is very true about them talking behind your back... I am doing the pepper mills topped with almond flowers.I am going to post the pic again you guys have to be bored with looking at these pics over and over again

BTW I am going to make the flowers they were almost $5 each and I am going to make them for a little over a $1.

oh thats cute!! I know a place that has all the lenox favors and mikasa and stuff like that.. she does all italian events.. I did lenox votive holders for my son's baptism.. she gave me an awsome price and included the almonds.. SHE WRAPS THEM SO CUTE AND DIFFERENT! ( I will try to post a pic later if anyone is interested) and she did the almonds, wrapped it and did the ribbon with the names and date for free.

Great savings. The ones on the site I posted at $2 each, $2.10 if you want the poem attached which I do.

A great Italian favor store is located in Glen Cove called Tommasina's Fine Linens & Gift
262 Glen St, Glen Cove, NY 11542
Phone: (516) 674-4249

Right next to the Riva Grill - it's a very small store but the owners are wonderful and have everything from the confetti almonds from Italy to unity candles to Italian favors (mikasa, candles, votives, etc. -
I highly recommend them - good luck!

I REALLY want to do the candy buffet. FI and I think it is so cute, but my mom keeps sending me pitctures of salt and pepper shakers. People wont understand candy, she said. Oh, and of course - almonds! Lots of pictures of almonds!

Ugh....

I was thinking about giving out candles with a label of my name and my FH name on it. Plus the date.

Re: Italian/American Brides...

I am giving out candles in frosted holders, I go tthem super cheap on ebay. It's so funny cause the past 2 cousins wedding I went to had some favors by Mikasa. I was thinking like wow those were probably expensive for everyone to get one. I don't know what my family is expecting but I know I didn't spend very much.

We will be doing a donation which will be in honor of our guests. I will have my confetti flower done in Italy which will give it something extra.

Re: Italian/American Brides...

No, using an Italian American band, but there was a thread about Italian speaking DJs. Definitely do a search.
