Hand painted ceramic oil bottles with a jordan almond flower (bomboniere) from Italy on top.

I'm probbaly going to do something small and lenox, and I was thinking I coul alternate Jordan Almonds with chocolate covered espresso beans. Becuase the whole idea of the jordan almond is the combination of bitter and sweet, and the espresso beans will be different, but will express the same thing.. I might make those flowers. I hadn't thought of that, but I'm in the early stages.

Anyone having the tarantella?

We are giving boxes of Lindt truffles, organza bags filled with almonds, and organza bags filled with heart-shaped soaps. A lot of little things, not one big thing.

mini wine bottles...one per person...can't go wrong with wine!

I love the idea of the almond flowers...I am pretty crafty so I have got to figure out a way to make them myself! Any suggestions?

I will be doing an elegant Espresso Cup Set of 6 (with saucers) by Casa Elite. Plus I'll be topping them off with Italian Confetti (5 jordan almonds).

I got this from somewhere but I don't know if I'll be using it since it seems so labor intensive (and therefore time consuming):

1) wrap each almond in plastic wrap and then wrap again with tulle. Tie each invididual almond with string or curling ribbon. (something thin and easy to tie)
2) gather five wrapped almonds and tie together with tulle or curling ribbon.
3) for an extra touch, add flower middles in the middle of each flower (they are found in the artificial flower aisle in craft stores)
That's it!! It's very cheap, but VERY labor intensive.
Materials for each flower
1) five almonds
2) five pieces of plastic wrap (6 inches square, can be trimmed to size later)
3) five pieces of tulle (6 inches square, can be trimmed to size later)
4) curling ribbon
5) flower middles

I think this is what they are supposed to look like in the end:

Sounds pretty!! My oil bottles are by Casa Elite. I love their stuff!

JewelFlo - I just noticed you are getting married at Regis Pacis Votive Shrine. That Church is outrageous!! I felt like I was in Italy when I was in there. FI's cousin got married there in December.

Where can I check out their favors? Their line sounds like what I've been looking for

Babybride: Thanks...yep, that church is pretty breathtaking, wouldn't have it anywhere else!

Butterfly: You can find those type favors in the Italian stores in Brooklyn, especially on 18th Ave. Here are a few stores that I know of: C & L Lauricella, Casa Del Corredo, La Casa della Bombenieri, and The Shower Coach. Can't get any better than Casa Elite!

CIAO TUTTI QUANTI!!!

I am giving these and then topping them with the almond flower holders. I will also try and get crocheted(sp) almond holders from Italy from the town where FH is from, Durazzano. These vases are pretty big and are by Lenox

There are directions on this site I ordered all the supplies from them too but I realize later that Wrap with Us in syosset sells it too and cheaper.
almond flower direction

Look at the bottom of that page there are links to pic of the flower and how to order the supplies. I am using their directions but instead turning the petals of the flower facing up. It does seem very time consuming but I plan on making them without the almonds in it and storing then flat over the summer and then add the almonds in as I am wrapping the boxes.

But like I said wrap with us has it all and really cheap.

What song are you girls dancing with your dads to? I'm looking for an italian song other than that song viva la sposa or piccolo fiore (my sis used that one). Any ideas?
