FH and I are beginning to research hotels for our HM to Italy. We are going to the Almafi Coast, Rome and Venice.
Has anyone been to any of these places? If so, what hotels do you recommend?
Thanks

Re: Italy Hotels...any suggestions?
GO TO SORRENTO!
I went to Rome and Sorrento in April and was very disappointed with Rome...it is basically IMO a dirty city. I mean , of course the Vatican, and Forum etc are gorgeous and must be seen but if I were to do it all over agian, I would station myself in Sorrento and just focus on the Almafi coast for my entire vacation. We stayed at the BRISTOL HOTEL in Sorrento and loved it. It is right on a cliff that looks at Capri Island.
Definitely use TRIPADVISOR.com...that is how I booked it.
In Rome, we stayed with friends. Good luck!

In Rome I stayed at Hotel Visconti Palace and LOVED it there. It is modern and within walking distance to everything. We did not need to take a taxi anywhere. On the amalfi coast I reccomend staying in Positano. As far as a hotel I always stay with my family but I hear Hotel Sirenuse and Hotel Covo De Saraceno are both beautiful hotels.
