2 months left til our wedding and FH lost his job again....
Things have been so difficult lately - he lost his last job in October after 2 years working there (1st job outside of his family business that he was in for 20 years)
he took a paycut to take this recent job in November so he can support me and his daughters, and they just fire him without any warning - because all these guys want is to make money, and FH wasn't getting them enough business fast enough for them
FH is devastated - I'm besdies myself... I just don't know what we are going to do, and how we are going to make it - we just barely kept our heads above water before, and now we are going to be completely sunk....
why does it have to be so hard????

thanks - but I doubt it - there are very few positions in what he does - he is a project manager for fire sprinkler systems in construction sites - so, he oversees fire sprinkler installation for commercial sites - he doesn't personally know how to do steamfitting... He was a project manager for over 20 years, used to make good money doing it, and now he is having so much trouble...
if he didn't have 2 kids to support it wouldn't be so hard... and we can't even think of having our own family until he has something stable....
I don't know what we are going to do - I can't stop crying- I need to get it out of my system before he comes home - he was supposed to have his 1st dance lesson tonight for our wedding....

Severance? They told him to not bother coming back tomorrow - just like his last job (actually, with his last job he showed up to work and they told him to go home...)
This is construction - they don't care about people, they just care about

Is he handy? Does he had any skills in another field? Like 'professional' skills. You know what I mean, right?

OMG, I am SO SORRY!!!!! I don't know what to say!! There's so many women on here, though, you never know who someone knows! I will be praying he finds something that suits him quickly!!

I know what you mean... but no, he doesn't have a degree, he's 42, has a 15 yr old and a 9 yr old... but lacks professional skills - he was in a family business since he was a kid, and stayed there until he was 39.... this field isnt doing well right now....

Oh sweetie I am so sorry to hear that. As if you need this added stress 2 months before your big day-UGH! Keep your head up. Things will work out, in the end they always do. If he is a hard worker and a good person he will find something. It may not be in his field but at least something that can pay the bills. It's never easy especially here in NY with everything being so rediculously over priced.
It'll be ok but in the mean time I am sure you could use some of these!!
