I am SOOOO sorry Christine, this is a very very difficult thing to have happen. Thank God you are with family who love you and will help you as you heal (and you WILL, you WILL). Your albums bear the proof that you are a beautiful, kind, compassionate woman, THAT doesn't change, regardless.
If you need any help just FM, I cancelled a wedding way back when and I well remember the sadness and despair I felt :( so please know that you are not alone, there are SO MANY of us who've had similar experiences in our pasts and we will GLADLY see you through this.

Hope this helps: I dated my high school sweetheart for 9 years, we became engaged in 2004. Looking back, things were just not right (there was a lot of tension concerning goals, education, etc.)...well, 2 weeks before our wedding, he calls the whole thing off at the urging of his mother. I couldn't get out of bed for three weeks, I was so depressed and sad. However, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Someone involved in my first wedding told me that he wanted me to meet his little brother. I was more interested in a job at the time ( we are both lawyers)... a few days later, his brother called. I wasn't ready yet, and about another month went by. I finally got the courage to move past everything and I called this guy again, and he asked me out on a date...fast forward to today...we are going to be married in a little over 3 months...he is my best friend, my love, and the best thing in my life...he makes me light up when I see him, and we share everything, including a house with two rowdy kittens!

Hence, there is a moral. This too shall pass...you will need to mourn, cry, scream...please let it out and FM me if you want to talk about it...this is your time to think about yourself...and when you are ready, God will bless you with a wonderful man who will sweep you off your feet. I was in your shoes about a year and a half ago...I was physically ill from everything and I promise sweetie, things will get better. Just remember, everything happens for a reason...he is not for you and it is honestly better to know now instead of later once you are married and you have to retain an attorney for 300 an hour. So grieve your loss and then pick up the pieces, chin up, and realize you are a beautiful woman and you deserve all of the happiness in the world, and it will happen, promise!
