I'm sooooooooooo sorry that this happened.

I wouldn't cancel anything just yet. Give it a few days to let things settle. Maybe he did just get a little freaked out...Wedding planning can be stressful..he might just be having a hard time dealing with it.

But, even if it wasn't a temporary meltdown and he really did mean that he didn't want to get married, don't let him off the hook. You DESERVE to have a face-to-face conversation about this. He shouldn't be hiding behind texts for something this big.

Good luck honey...and I know it's probably not want you want to hear, but it's a good thing that this happened now, instead of the day of the wedding or 5 years after the wedding when you have kids.

this is where the famous quote 'cold feet ' comes in so i think it really happens to a lot of guys and they get over it....it doesnt mean that they dont want to marry you or love you they're just stupid boys that get cold feet

I would give him a few days to cool down and get his thoughts together and then personally go see him to find out whats going on. Don't pressure him too much but I think you deserve at least a face to face conversation. This is NOT something you end via text message.

I know this is a sad time for you but hang in there and we are all here for support. Hope all goes well and you guys are able to come to an agreement.

Give it some time. Sometimes under a lot of stress, like making a major commitment and planning for a major event, people get nervous along the way. FH and I broke up and didn't speak for a week last year and then I called him and asked how he was - we both agreed we were miserable - and we've been working on things ever since. Give him some time, but don't lose hope.
