Well, it looks like I may have the record in robbing the cradle....

The age difference was a HUGE deal to me at 1st but when you find someone who just seems to fit perfectly, age is just irrelevant.

I feel the same as lipglossjunkie - I am not offended when people ask, just as I would hope I wasn't offending anyone else if I asked them a question.

Lol, check out our numbers, my FH actually holds that record. We've got 16.5 years between us!!

But you're right about age being irrelevant when you've found the right one. I just don't like the term 'robbing the cradle', I like to think of it as he's getting a 2nd chance at love.

We were together a little over a year ago and had to stop seeing each other, due to personal reasons. We met back up in November and just knew. We've known from the 'second' first date that we were going to be together forever. And, we're financially stable, so we decided not to wait. When you know, you just know... Didn't you know when you met your FH that he was 'The One?'

I hate to be nosy, but how could you possibly be finacially stable at 18 and 20?...I am 24 and my fiance 30 and we are still struggling!!!!!

We just have been blessed. His truck is paid off, we found an apartment under our price range, both of our insurances are low, we both just got very good paying jobs, we don't have kids, and my parents are pretty much paying for the whole ceremony. But, by financially stable, I don't mean that we are going to be able to take 4 vacations in the first year we are married, I mean that we can pay our bills, put money into savings, and stil have a little left over to have a couple dates a month.

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was offended. I wasn't, really. it's just that you can only hear that so many times before you want to pull your hair out, but no. I wasn't offended.

i'm 32, he's 42 - and I don't think we will ever be financially stable!!!

Of course - he has 2 kids from a previous marriage, so that never helps...

I guess financially stable is defined differently for everyone. I too have my car paid off, have an appartment and am able to pay my bills, but I do not consider myself financially stable....Good luck with your wedding

When it come down to age, I have found that 'in average' NY is getting marrier later.

I lived in the 'South' and people get married younger.

It is probably alot easier to be financially stable in LA. On LI, you can hardly get out of your house at 25 it is so expensive. Me and my Fh have good paying jobs, and both live at home.

Good Luck with everything!!
