It's time for suggest a hall once again!

It's time for suggest a hall once again!

I'll list all the places I have been, you list a place I should go. The only rules are I have 100 people, and it has to be under $110 a plate w/ tax and tip. It would likely be in Sept-December, and has to be at night. Pref Sat, Fri, Sun, in that order. Also, I really am not a fan of old styling, like Westbury Manor, for example. We're more into stuff like Villa Lombardi, Jericho Terrace, Larkfield...

Nassau:
Coral House - Not us
Crest Hollow CC - Prom was there, I'd like elsewhere
Fox Hollow - Was a top choice, a few issues though
Jericho Terrace - Was a top choice, a few issues
Leonard's - Nice, but almost too much
Lido Golf - Heard bad stuff
Manor East - Not us, at all
North Ritz - Minimum issues
Riviera - Lady is a b**** to deal with
Sand Castle - FW did not like it, I thought it was ok
Milleridge - Cocktail and Dinner same room....no
Westbury Manor - Not my style at all
Woodbury CC - Eh
Floral Terrace - Minimum people issue

Suffolk:
Atlantica - Minimum and Price
Beach Club - Heard horrible things, enough to say no
Chateu La Mer - Not for us
Eastwind - FW didn't like it at all, I thought it was ok
Georgios - Minimum issues
Larkfield Manor - One of the top choices, small cocktail room
Majestic Gardens - Been there, not overly impressed, but nice
Mediterranean Manor - Not us
The Meadow Club - Cocktail room was eh...
Thatched Cottage - Heard it might go under
Villa Lombardi - Top choice, issues with minimums
Watermill - Cousin married here, FW dislikes it
Windows On The Lake - Look at Beach Club comment

I know I'm a pain in the ass with this stuff at this point, but I'm struggling here.

Places we will likley visit, Chateu Briand, Swan Club...

this is a tough one....
I'm not one for the big grand hall look....our hall does one wedding at a time and has a very homey feel to it....2 fireplaces, they start renovating on Monday!!

I happen to LOVE the Milleridge Inn though, food and atmosphere are amazing.
Did you try the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook?
Danford's in Port Jefferson?

try www.lessing.com
they own several places

I was going to say Chateau Briand. Defintely go take a look. The have more of an art deco motif, almost a cruise ship feel (I thought) and it's a Scotto Brothers place and their rep is pretty good. I think their prices are competitive as well.

Good Luck!

Hey....you're SO into all this wedding stuff which is really cool!

Check out Majestic Gardens- we went to 11 places before booking our hall and we love the back of it and the food and the atmosphere inside- it's not much to look at from the road but I've never known someone to go there and not like it.

Wow it looks like you have been to a lot of places! I can't think of any to recommend right now. I wuld recommend the Huntington Townhouse but there anre many events that go on at once. I am having my wedding in the private area but I think that room has a much higher minimum than 100.
My FSIL had her wedding at the Snapper Inn. It was in September so they had the cocktail hour outside right on the water! The room was also waterview (open to the outside). I thought it was Excellent! And the price was reasonable too. I think she had 150 people...I am not sure what the minimum is but I think 100 may be OK.

Yeah, I try to be involved. I have lots of free time at work, and this is what's pretty much on my mind. Feels weird to be one of the only dudes on here, and if you saw me you wouldn't think I'd care about this much. I just want the best day possible for my FW(LovelyL).

We went to a wedding of FW's friend there. It was nice, but she wasn't all too thrilled with it. I think the minimum is higher than 100 anyway, I believe I read that soemwhere on here.

I know I keep on saying The Metropolitan but for the price, the food is REALLY good cake beautiful and cool atmosphere if you are trying to get away from the typical wedding hall space...

I see that you wrote 'heard bad stuff' about The Lido Golf Club. I was married there and very happy with everything. You should go check them out anyway. Happy hunting!

Chatteau Le Mer in Lindenhurst. I have not been there in some time so I have no idea what it looks like or about costs.

What are your issues with north ritz...just out of curiosity

I also suggest the Chateau Briand. The Scotto Brothers have an excellent reputation for food and serive and it is very modern. The exact opposite of the Westbury Manor.

What about Brideview Yacht Club, Port Jeff Country Club, Southward Ho Country Club, Smithtown Landing, Bellport Country Club..I'm trying to think of more.
