I've been a busy bride
I graduated from Stony Brook last week. Had my PhD hooding on Thursday and graduation on Friday. In the midst of that my 6 year old laptop took a dump. FH and I really didn't want to spend money on a new one, but I really need to have a computer for interviewing and applying for jobs, so we had to dip into some wedding money.
Anyway, one of my BMs came down from RI to stay with us on Tuesday and Wednesday. We decided to do wedding stuff. Got my shoes and hair piece from Sandys yesterday.
Today we went to Pick Quick and got all the cardstock and paper to make the petal cones, menus and programs. If anyone is looking for paper or cardstock I recommend you go there. It's in Farmingdale near Target off 110 and has a HUGE selection.
Then we went to Sweet Streets in Babylon and got a ton of chocolate covered stuff to sample for our favors. FH and I will have a little chocolate tasting tonight...I can't wait. We got truffles, chocolate covered pretzels, choc covered oreos, choc covered popcorn and choc covered rice crispies.
I also got 2 shower dresses, not sure which I will wear, and got an 80's outfit for my bachelorette party (were going to the awesome 80s prom). Getting all this stuff done really made me take a sigh of relief. I felt like I had a lot left on my plate to do and having someone along to help me shop was good.
It's funny when my BM got here she was like 'I shouldn't be a BM because I haven't helped you with anything' and then we got all of that accomplished.
