I've just made a huge, life altering decision

Ooooohhhhh I think we are getting one too. I'd prefer someone who cleans and vacuums, but if I have to do it myself, then I may as well have a kick a*s vacuum!

I had gotten one 'off the back of a truck' last year... but my parents borrowed it... and I've never seen it again! They live upstairs and have two big dogs... I only have my 3 cats, and only one of them sheds... so I let them have it. My dad would be crushed if I took it back So I'm going to break down and buy one. I might get the Asthma and Allergy one b/c of my asthmatic cat.

good for you- call it a 30th b-day present!!

im surprised you dont have a few dyson animal vacuumes around with all the animals you have

get one with a telescopic hose so you can vacuume out your pots and pans

Awww that's sweet you let your parents have it. I know they are ridiculously expensive, but if they work, then i don't care. I had gotten one of the newer (at the time) bagless vacuum's and I loved it at the time, but HATE cleaning out the cup and filter and it clogs easily. I'm going to wait a few months to buy the Dyson. I'm sort of hoping if I register for it, maybe a few of my family will get together and buy it for us!

They are totally worth it. I've vacuumed w/mine, and everything appears clean, and then brought the dyson downstairs and it picks up so much stuff, that the canister is full! Its an amazing machine...

we actually did register for a dyson ... and we got it at our engagement party! my aunt & cousins got it for us, they chipped in.

the thing is ... you never know when people want to chip in for something cool like that, and if you don't have it on your registry you probably won't get it.

also, there's always the completion discount after the wedding ... so you can get it afterwards if you still want it.

we love ours, its one of the few things we actually are using now (saving the rest of the stuff until we buy a house)

the sears vacuum got the consumer reports best score! Dyson didn't get such great reviews

I was all about it but looked into consumer reports and we ended up registering for an electrolux I'm still not sure whats the bestr one...I think it depends on the type of flooring you have...
