Ivory and Off White Brides

What color shirts are your GM and FH wearing? I was going to go with an ivory shirt but I was just on the knot and they were saying that the GM shirts in ivory could look dirty.

my dress is white, so my FH is wearin and all white tux..and the GM is wearing black tuxs with white vest and white tie..but a black shirt

Our GMs are wearing ivory - that way my dress won't look discolored

I'm wearing Ivory, Fh husband is wearing an Ivory shirt. GM are wearing white. The Ivory shirts believe it or not look white as well. You can barely tell the difference.

My dress is diamond white and the guys are all wearing white. I didn't want to start trying to match the guys shirts with my dress.

FH is going to wear a white shirt and white vest... ivory and diamond white IMO don't go.. thats what i noticed with the FG dresses as well..

we are going to pick out a white vest that is not so stark and go with that!!

we are doing ivory shirts too -- when we looked at the white shirts they were too too white.

my dress is pearl so it's inbetween white and ivory and it looked okay with ivory shirts.

My dress is called 'pearl.' The salon said it's the designers version of Ivory, but both my mom and I say it's definitely more white than ivory.
I guess I'll have to give FH a swatch to bring to the tuxedo store to see whether it looks better with a white or ivory shirt.

I have a diamond white dress and we just went for the tuxes. The tux guy said def. ivory, so I held and ivory and a white shirt up to my dress. The ivory looked so much better. The white made my dress look a little dull. So we went w/ivory for my fiance and the groomsmen.

I think it also depends on what color vest and tie your FH is wearing. I have an ivory dress, and originally he was planning to wear an ivory shirt. At the tuxedo shop, he ended up choosing a gray vest, and the ivory didn't match at all--it was too warm a color for the cool gray. So he's wearing a white shirt. Honestly, only three or four inches of the shirt is showing--you'll hardly notice the difference.

My dress was ivory, but a very light ivory. In pictures, you can barely tell. My DH wore ivory shirt, vest & tie. The rest of the bp wore ivory shirts. There are pics in my album - the ivory wasn't too dark - it matched my dress perfectly.
I think most tux places have a pretty good idea of what would go best with ivory or diamond white gowns.
