Ivory towels?and macy's registry

i went to buy something off a registry at Macy's today at the Sunrise mall and I have to agree about the negative feedback with customer service, there was noone to be found and they were a little rude and unenthused, I'd hate for my guests to deal with them. They also didnt have a very big selection but I hear Rossevelt field is better so who knows.

Me and my FH decided to look around and try to get an idea for what we will be registering for and we decided on ivory or light beige and white colored towels for the bathroom especially since we dont know where we will be living yet I figure simple is better,

Later on I spoke to someone who said Ivory towels will get dirty so easy and that it isnt a good idea, any ideas about this?

Re: Ivory towels?and macy's registry

I personally can't use white or ivory towels in our bathroom since FH is a plumber and is DIRTY before he gets in the shower and when he gets out (don't ask) , so obviously that isn't an option for me. I like ivory and white and agree with your idea for simpler colors, what about a beige? I think if you go with a color you like, you will be able to work your bathroom around that color scheme though.

Re: Ivory towels?and macy's registry

As for towels, I got one color (purple-ish that was so pretty - I just wanted them) and then I got like a ecru color. It is darker than ivory but still pretty neutral. I had similar concerns. I am in an apartment right now and the bathroom is white so anything would go but I know I am only hear for a year and then who know what color bathroom I will have.

As far as Macy's, I registered at the one in Manhasset and had a great experience. The store was never too crowded. Although at times we couldn't find people to ask questions but we just noted our questions and asked them to the person in the bridal registry room. She was soo helpful. She would add and make changes for us and locate items we wanted to add. We even asked her opinions on things and she was so helpful.

Re: Ivory towels?and macy's registry

I registered at Macy's and had no problems...but I think I'm a rare breed as I've heard bad things from other brides here.

I also didn't know what my bathroom would look like so I ended up registering for beige towels from Bed Bath and Beyond.

I really didn't have problems with either of my two registries. Everything came off and I had no problems going back for returns.
