Hi Jenny!

Here is my promised review of the Glen Island Harbour Club.

Cocktail hour was fantastic. The food, the presentation, and the service were all wonderful. The room was very pretty, and there were lots of people but it wasn't the least bit crowded.

The reception room was GORGEOUS! I think it was set up for about 200, and it was a perfect arrangement. Again, the food was delicious. The first course was a Mediteranean Sampler, which I didn't eat (had nothing to do with the quality... I'm just picky. Everyone else loved it), and dinner was a choice of Filet Mignon, Chicken Mignon, and grilled salmon. I had the salmon, and it was awesome! Friends at my table had the steak and chicken and loved it! My DH ate his entire meal and finished mine, while my friend's DH was also scanning the table looking for left overs on people's plates. The food was THAT good! Dessert was a brownie souffle with vanilla ice cream, which was yummy, but it was covered it raspberry sauce, which I don't care for, so I scraped it off. Everyone else loved the sauce. Like I said, I'm picky, my not eating it had NOTHING what-so-ever to do with the quality.
The service during dinner was good, but not outstanding. Definitely nothing to complain about, but I've had more attentive servers before.

The valet guys were great... quick and poilte, and didn't drive like maniacs. I always worry when I had my keys over to an 18 year old valet, but no worries this time!
