so me and FH were discussing some dates for our wedding. we both really like december 2008 (like the last weekend of november or first weekend of december) we both love the holidays -its so romantic and we could both totally see us having a winter/christmas wedding - plus i think it may be cheaper around that time which is nice (and i rather have a december wedding with everything than a more popular month and skimp)....
the other thought is july 3, 2009 the day we got engaged (or other dates in July). July will give us more time to save for the wedding but it will probably be more expensive......
we are going to look at Jerricho Terrace for ceremony and reception (almost positive this is where we will end up bookin) - we aren't sure if we are going to wait until before or after or e-party to go speak with them but does anyone have any idea what i might expect to pay per person for december 2008 for full cocktail hour, full dinner menu and Viennesse hour? tax and grat included....

depends on the amount of guests you have bc that will determine which room you get and the price varies from room to room

It also depends on the time of day and the day of the week, (fri, sat , sun).. On a sunday afternoon in November for 150 people in the Dome room (no vienesse hour) I was quotes 75 a person.

I think we will be inviting 150-175 guests and can probably expect 125-150 to attend. We are loving the dome room and skylight room ceremony. JT is my favorite :)

The only thing I know we have a minimum of 150 on a fri in Sept and we couldnt get the dome room since we only had 150-180 guest. But since you are trying for the winter maybe it is different. Just remember to ask them about that though!!! Never know they might give you a good deal....

well, i believe that you need a 200 garauntee for the dome room, 175 for the penthouse room and 150 for the skylight room.

yikes that was what i was afraid of. we figured we could always invite a few more people and probably guarantee 150-170 if we had too. i'm hoping not that to many people want to get married in december and they are able to give us the room that we love :)

for the dome room i think they want you to guarantee more...What they do is split the skylight room in half for that many guests.

Re: Jericho Terrace
I love the skylight room too, but since we will most likely have our ceremony in that room I would like a different room for the reception. I guess we will see what happens when we go. I'll have to try and get them to the lowest guarantee possible and see if we can afford it.
FH's sister got married at JT about 4 years ago and had the skylight room for her reception. I think she had 275 guests. She tried to get the dome room but they wouldn't let her, they told that room was for small weddings - I didn't think 200 people was a small wedding LOL
Well eventually when we go check it out I will let you all know what happens!

same thing happened with us, FH asked about the dome room and they said it was too small for our wedding. They didn't say it was for small weddings, they just said it wouldn't fit our guests
BUT what happens is when they use the dome room they like to fill it up or most of it, otherwise they'll offer to split the skylight room. Or someone said penthouse was 175 ppl max so maybe they'll also suggest that.

Re: Jericho Terrace
For a Saturday night in October we were told 175 min in the Skylight room and 200 in the Penthouse room. For either of those rooms we were quote $120 pp. I forget it that was with the Viennese hour though. We were told that November and December would have been cheaper.
ETS: The dates we were looking at didn't have the Dome room available so we never got that info.
