Jericho Terrace Anyone?

Jericho Terrace Anyone?

My friend, whose not a member, just had her wedding recently at Jericho Terrace and she wanted bring a few things to your attention if you're having your wedding there too.

Overall her experience with them wasn't the most positive. They were attentive when she first visited and made the initial deposit. But afterwards she found their service abit lacking.

1. Everytime she called them, she was passed off to someone entirely different.

2. They forgot a couple of important details that had made repeated requests about - ie. flowers, cocktail hour, favors, etc. Hm, wonder if this has to do with #1?

3. They were rushing guests while they were eating. One of the guests at my table literally had her plate snatched from under her nose. It wasn't even half eating. Others complained about this as well. Her wedding wasn't running late either!

4. They were supposed to arrange time for her to take photos outdoors but didn't make the effort so she didn't have any outdoor photos and had to retake them at a later time.

There were a couple of other points but I think you got the general idea. If you're having a wedding there, please don't allow this to happen to you on your special day. Demand the service you deserve and have a wonderful wedding!

That is a good point, Denise. If it's an afternoon mwedding, they are anxious to get people out so they can set up for the next wedding coming in.

hmmmm i find this so suprising! My wedding was everything i had been told about Jericho Terrace...nothing less than breathtaking & spectacular. Every one of my guests still talk about how wonderful everything was...from the staff, to the service, to the setting, to the food. ....I guess there's no where that can be absolutely perfect. i'm sorry for ur friends negative experience with them.

ditto. i had guests coming up to me saying how wonderful everything is and how impressed they were by the service and presentation. they worked with me when i was below my minimum and my BM was a dream to work with. my maitre d left a bit to be desired but i can give him a 7 out of 10 ratings wise. my only complaint is that they didnt set up my table #'s properly but no one noticed but me.

sorry your friend wasnt thrilled. was a daytime wedding?

I didnt book JT, but I did go there for a meeting, I was NOT impressed by the way we were treated. However we have been there for weddings and they do an amazing job.

I think that regardless of day or evening wedding you should get the same service, you are still paying top $ for your wedding so to rush guests is just rude

Im sorry that your friend had a bad experience, I hope there was something that she enjoyed about the place

thanks for the heads up , i personally have had all great experiences with dealing with them they are always so attentive, and we are almost done paying them off , it's sad that your friend had problems with them... i know that a few girls have complained about a particular BM that works there, maybe that was the BM your friend had

doubt they'll be able to pull that plate snatching stunt with my family....they'll reach for it and pull back a stump

I'm not going to stress this enough. You'll drive yourself bonkers thinkinf of how many things could go wrong on the big day.

do NOT worry about the food - my wedding was in december..my family is huge and full of italians, as the grooms was full of puerto ricans - both of which are VERY into good food and loud enough to speak their mind if anything wasnt to their liking. All i heard was raves, and DH & i's food was to die for. If u go anywhere, people will tell u JT is KNOWN for their food...i even remember when we were looking at photographers, jimmy at fineart started telling me how JT was a A+ for food. Have no worries dear! It's an amazing place!

totally true! I agree - i think two people can go to one place, and one love it & the other not so much. It's interesting to see how different people have different takes! thats the beauty of every wedding being unique! love it

I agree because I've been to weddings and events at other RHs but I just keep my mouth shut. I don't want to offend anyone by bashing on their RH. We all picked them because we love them and can't wait for our big day
