Jericho Terrace Brides!

Im a little upset that my minimum is 200 people. I have the Dome room on a Friday night. I have been reading lately that people were given a 150 minimum! Theres no way that Im going to reach 200, and when I signed the contract I didnt really care because #1- I was about 3 applemartinis deep and #2 - all I cared about was getting the Dome room! Should I call and talk to another BM to try and get my minimum lowered since I know that brides were told 150 for a friday night in the dome room? I mean I know it wouldnt hurt,,,but I was an idiot and signed the contract! Also, will they throw stuff in to make up the difference if I dont reach 200?? Im so upset at this right now!!!! TIA

I read a review where a bride's minimum was either 200 or 175 and she didn't meet it so they threw in extras...If you do a search for Jericho Terrace the review should come up!

My FSIL minimum is 175 for the dome room on a Friday night....

Did you give them the impression that you will be able to easily meet that minimum?

See i have a very big minimum but they put that down bc we said we are having 350-400 guests so they knew this before they told us the minimum so when making the contract our BM put down 275 and hes like ok I'll put this because you wont have a problem meeting this minimum so its ok.

as a past JT bride i can tell you that if you dont meet your minimum they will put up a fight to throw in extra stuff. but luckily, my BM was the head BM and i just whined and pretended to be so stressed out (and i hate to say it but i fake cried a little bit too) and he gave in. He gave me all the extras that i wanted!

I dont think they'll reduce your minimum since you've already signed the contracts. your best bet is to just try for the extra stuff.

NO the BM said that it had to be 200 even though I told him that I probably woulnt be able to meet it. At first I loved the BM that I had,,,and now after reading some stuff about him on here I dont really trust him anymore! I even called back the next day all upset about it and he said there was nothing he could do. So now that I hear of other brides getting it lower Im pissed! Thats why Im thinking of talking to another BM.

i know its hard to do but dont try to compare yourself to other brides on here when it comes to contracts and stuff

it depends on when they booked ( like what year) and when they booked for. . .

for example i am in the same room as Denise ( Espo) and my minimum is 150 and hers is 275 - BUT i am also getting married in january AND i went there to see the smaller room because my original guest list was 100 people. . . so all those factors contributed to the min. he gave me i think

BUT i F R E A K E D out when denise told me her min. and i was ( like you) walking on cloud 9 when i booked so i thought that i made a mistake and i ran home and checked my contract tomake sure my min was 150 - which it was lol

august is pretty much peak season as far as i know so i dont think they will lower the minimum but if you got the room of your dreams just try to get extra stuff thrown in - that is another thing brides have had different experiences with getting extra stuff some brides say they didnt even mention it they just got the stuff thrown in and other brides had to fight for it so dont get discouraged!

who is your BM? we booked with Vinny and we LOVE him - FH even made us stop by there to say hi to him one day!

When I decided to book JT, I asked about the Dome Room. I am getting married on a Friday night too but at the end of September. They said the lowest they can make the minimum was 190. I would have loved to have that room but I don't think I know that many people. I believe the time you are getting married is prime season and that is why they probably require 200 as the minimum. I would think they lower the minimum for other months that aren't as popular.

I agree with matilde (antntilde) DONT compare your contract to other girls, you will drive yourself crazy like i did...at first when i came on here i saw people have a different price than i do, and wondered why...Then you'll see that some brides had things thrown in for free while others didnt.

For whatever reason it is the way it is, there might be reasons as to why...Such as peak season, how big your wedding is and so on.

its actually the opposite, skylight room is bigger than the dome room...Fh loved the doom rome but we told them how many guests were having and he said forget it the maximum for the dome room is 275 guests and were having more than that

i understand but what i dont understand is why if she was having a smaller wedding they would tell her the skylight room bc she couldn't guarantee for the dome room which is maximum 275...or im surprised they didnt say the other room the oak room or something?

The Oak Room may be too small for her. It has a maximum of 150 I believe and that would be crowded. The Skylight room (divided) would probably be the perfect size for her. Also, JT likes to hold the Dome Room for the larger parties.

same here. i told them i was having between 100-130 and he said my best bet was the skylight room so that's what we did. they wouldn't lower my minimum of 150 either.
