Hi JT brides. I figured I start a new thread on Jericho Terrace. Anyone have the Oak Room? If so, how many guests. I know it's pretty, but i'm nervous about the size.
p.s. they are adding plasma Tv's. House Photo/Videographers can use them for free, which will help those who want photo montags.

for dj i used starlight express
photo i used angelica glass, i have pro pics in my album and her site is www.angelicaglass.com
video i used pennylane, i have a wedding movie trailer that they did the same day and played at my reception for my guests, he edited it i guess during CH or something, its in my video album. Their site is www.pennylaneprod.com
the food was delicious, and service they went above and beyond, even requests i had that i wasnt sure about they executed perfectly. They treated me amazingly and exceeded my expectations

i wonder where they are putting the TVs - i actually hope that they dont put any TVs in the dome room until after my wedding just because i love the set up we are doing and I would hate for it to be too many TVs even though we wouldnt be using the RH's......i was at a wedding at Russos where they had they TVs and i didnt like it - from our seats we couldnt see anything

Re: JERICHO TERRACE BRIDES
we'll I know they are putting them in the Oak Room first. Not sure if they will be in your room by your wedding date.
It looks like they are setting them up next to the DJ area.

Looks like they are putting up two in each room and mounting them on the wall.

its not even about being calm its about having time to eat the food lol. You are pulled in every direction and dont have that much time to even sit and eat lol

I guess we'll have to just wait and see. Everytime I see a wedding album or video I get teary eyed. I hope I can keep it together.

Re: JERICHO TERRACE BRIDES
I'm getting married there but I'm using the Skylight room!
It's pretty cool that they are setting up TVs, I plan on doing my own montages!! But if they are only available to house DJs, how will that work if I don't pick a house DJ?? Will the TVs still be there in addition to the TVS from my own DJ? hmm...

that is true and good question.
Yeah i was also thinking about and wondering how their house dj's are gonna feel bc thats basically gonna take money out of their vendors pockets. Starlight express is a house dj and does ALOT of JT weddings and they probably make a decent amount off of people who use plasmas. Maybe thats why they are doing it only for house dj's
i am thinking of the set up of skylight room and where the dj is and i cant picture the tv's on the wall there, one side is ok but the other side most of the guests wouldnt be able to see, i could see it being done in the other rooms, so maybe you dont have to worry

Re: JERICHO TERRACE BRIDES
The house DJ will still charge just not the full amount and now they won't have to set up etc. So, it's a win win for everyone. If it's not a house vendor than they are not allowed to use the plasma's that are installed. At least that is what I was told.

Re: JERICHO TERRACE BRIDES
I agree - I don't like the idea of the tv's and I am a little concerned about it now. I am not getting married at JT until next October so I bet they might be in there from what everyone is saying. Its not right because if you don't use them, it looks terrible on the wall so now I feel cornered to use one of their house dj's and I am going to end up having to pay for it on the long run. I feel like I am being cornered here to use and possibly pay for a service that I don't even want. They shouldn't put them in the walls so that you could have a choice of whether or not to use them. It takes away from the ambience that I wanted in the room. Oh well I guess....

i definitely do see your concern, i would've felt the same way. I would ask them to drape the walls with the plasmas. You shouldn't be forced to pick a house vendor, i did but it was only by choice and wouldnt want to feel forced by it. I had seen alot of pics of brides at JT before i got married and many of them had a mural behind them, i didnt want a mural behind. So i called up and asked if i could drape the wall behind me if there is a mural. But because i used the whole skylight room(many times they use half of the room) i wasnt going to have a mural behind me so they told me not to worry but if there would've been a mural i would've asked them to drape the wall behind me.
