Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

Has anyone not used the JT cake? Did they reimburse you? I think I read Glinda_Goodwitch got reimbursed, but another member said she did not.

Thanks!!

Re: Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

I haven't booked with JT but went to take a look at it and Chad went over the menu for us and when mentioning the cake he said that if we choose a cake from somewhere else they will replace it with some sort of dessert he didn't mentioned anything about reimbursing...check into that more!! good luck

G.

Re: Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

maybe she specifically asked to be reimbursed. I am the one who told you that i was not reimbursed but instead was given extra stuff at CH. I think that they probably offer you this first but if you prefer the money instead then i guess thats when they give it back to you. When this was mentioned to me, i was fine with the option i was given. I also didnt think that i would be reimbursed so never asked.

However, i do remember when i mentioned this that she told me what they pay the bakers for the cake, which is taken from your balance and its not very high

Re: Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

I had read somewhere that you can ask JT's baker (bakery) to make you a custom cake (maybe I read it wrong?) so why wouldn't you want to use their cake...that is, if they will customize it for you?

Thanks! Yes, thank for all the FMs today! I didn't want to mention your name without your permission, but Glinda had posted it in a thread so I thought it was ok.

I was told I had to choose from a set range of around 7 cake designs. I might still go with it for cost sakes esp since I just upgraded rooms and now have many more guests.

Re: Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

jt has a bunch of cake designs - 7 designs i think which is a lot compared to ur average RH, and most of them are really nice.. keep in mind also, u can choose one of their designs but add color, flowers, etc...so ur not excessively limited at all. I wanted something specific so we did an outside order. if u use their bakery(which u should - Dortoni's is AMAZING.), then they apply up to the cost of what ur cake at jt would be (i think it's $600) and anything thereafter is what you would have to come up with. Not sure if things have changed since then as this was almost 2yrs. ago...but they did a great job! this was my cake through dortoni's...IDENTICAL to what i wanted..

Re: Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

JTGarsik...You said you did an outside order? Meaning...you went to Dortonis and placed a more specific order. How much extra did you have to pay for that cake? Or was it less than 600? It's beautiful!

Jericho Terrace handled the whole thing....i met with the gm/md and showed him what i wanted. he said he'd talk to the bakery and see what they could do. It did go beyond the $600 that was included by the rh, but not by much. i dont really remember what we actually paid on top of that, but i know it wasn't a lot. talk to them and see i'm sure they'll be happy to help ya

Re: Jericho Terrace - cost of cake?

JtGarsik...Who do I order the cake with...my BM or do I have to call Dortoni's myself? And if its through my BM...do I just show him a picture of what I want? How does that work? Then, he gives the picture to Dortonis?

bc depending on the design you want, not all bakeries can do it. I wanted a mad hatter cake and ive seen some bakeries attempt it and it can look bad. Also you do get charged extra if you want a different type of cake than what they offer in their package, just letting you know if you want to upgrade. Since i never saw a cake similar to the one i wanted at the bakery JT uses i didnt want to take a chance. I went to a completely different place than JT uses since i was able to see quite a few pics of mad hatter cakes he has done in the past. If it was anything else though i would've used the bakery they had.

I saw the cake you want in the pic above and they can do that for you no problem. Shouldnt really be too much extra to add the grapes. Definitely talk to them
