Jericho terrace Dome room or Fox Hollow Somerley Room

I need help I love both equally for different reasons...Both have amazing prices, both have beautiful decor and great reputations..I can't decide, I mean the difference in rooms is only the min number, and basically me and my fiance can go either way...I would appreciate everyone's opinion :) Thank you!!!!

I LOVE the look of Jericho Terrace, my mom called it the Castle, it was my front runner until I saw the Sand Castle. I thought that the menu at Jericho was more impressive the FH, and I loved the dome room, especially when it lights up. And the customer service that I got when visiting JT blew FH out of the water but that was just my experience and the people that I dealt with at each hall. However FH has the inn right next door which is very convenient but I'm sure JT can get you are great room at the Viana and they offer shuttles most likely.

Good Luck on your decision, no matter which you pick you will be in great hands. both places have been around for years and know what they are doing!

I got married in the Somerley (pics and review in album) and it was beautiful. My wedding and reception was in the early afternoon so we got alot of sun beaming in through the sun roof which lit up the place as if we where outside.

Your maitre d and bridal attendant are very attentive to your needs. Also, the food is absolutely awesome especially during dinner when guests get 7 options. The guest couldn't believe how much they give.

Also, when you book at FH they give you a free night stay at the hotel next door after your party which is very convenient. I also decided to book a room the night before the wedding to get ready in my room the day of and the bridal attendant came to the room to assist in anything i needed the morning of. After your reception is over, your bridal attendant and maitre d pack up all your wedding items including leftover food and they bring it over to your room. So you can relax the rest of the night with your husband with no worries.

So based on my experience, i prefer the Somerley or FH in general.

Love the Dome Room!!! Jericho seriously has such great service. I am biased because I got married at the Oak Room.

Im a little biased because im a JT bride, but im going to get the new Terrace room after it undergoes construction, its suppose to look like a mixture of the oak room and the pent house room (hopefully) but since its being updated anything they do to it will be lovely.

It all depends on the feeling you get when you walk into the room and where you can envision your reception to be. Fox hollow is very pretty but not as fancy as I would have liked. JT is fancy but im not crazy about there being more than one bride at a time....so it really all depends. If i where you i would go look at both again and stand with your FH in the middle of the dance floor and close your eyes and picture is this is? and if its a yes then you have your answer, hope this helps.

Both rooms are beautiful and each has great service, so you can't make a bad choice here. My friend was married in the dome room and it was lovely. We got married at the Somerly and loved it. The somerly was a bit more rustic, which is what I was going for. Maybe try and think about the tone of your wedding, and that could help you decide?

Dome room! I am biased because I got married at JT and had the Dome room, and it was amazing! We actually had planned on looking at a few places after JT, but when we saw the dome, and they lit it up in pink (our color), we were sold.

I got married at Jericho Terrace but I think the Sommerly room is exquisite. Its also brand-new. I got married at the small room at JT which is their newest and I loved being in the new room. I think the service at both places is prob comparable. I didn't check what month you're getting married about JT doesn't offer an outdoor cocktail. I was a march bride and we didn't care but if we could've been outside I would've preferred that.

JT hands down (IMO)

Jericho Terrace the dome room!!!My sister had her wedding their and the service was outstanding! The somerley at the fox hollow is gorgeous too but the service does not compare. My friend got married their in december and towards the end she was finding it hard to get in contact with them... But you can't make every bride happy...I say go with your gut feeling!!

Re: Jericho terrace Dome room or Fox Hollow Somerley Room

Thanks for the info. Well, I recently booked for the new skylight room that they are renovating for next year. They never even showed me the dome room so I am thinking of going back to check that out. Also, I saw the penthouse room in pictures. It looks big but beautiful. Has anyone been to a wedding in that room? How many guests? and did it feel too big? What do you guys think about the skylight room that will go under renovation? We liked it a lot however we didn't like how they use that wall to separate the cocktail area with the main room. Also my fiance was a little concerned that the ceilings were not high enough. Please any suggestions or comments.

I fell in love with the Somerley Room as soon as I saw it and booked that. So I might be biased, but it's so pretty.

Re: Jericho terrace Dome room or Fox Hollow Somerley Room

if you saw how they redid the Oak Room downstairs then I would be VERY excited to see how they are going to redo the Skylight room. When I looked they said they were keeping the charm of the room but brightening it up and updating it. I almost booked there but we wound up falling in love with Sand Castle. However Jericho Terrace is beautiful and I loved the glass ceiling in that room I don't think that the lower ceilings in the rest of the room will be an issue, where people are dancing it is very open. I am looking forward to seeing how they make it look ever more gorgeous, my mom called JT 'the castle' lol because it just was so well decorated and pretty. I hope someone else I know gets married there so I can go see it! lol

I think you made a great choice but you can go back and ask about the dome room, I know that the minimum is higher for that room though, and you get a different cocktail hour room which you probably didn't see but you can see pics of it online.

Who was your BM btw? Mine was Vinny and I really loved him, and JT but I just got that feeling when we went to Sand Castle so we went with them.

Re: Jericho terrace Dome room or Fox Hollow Somerley Room

Hey. Thanks for the comments. The BM is Robert. He showed me the Oak room to get an idea of the renovations to take place in the skylight room. I wish they could change the style of the room divider, it looks repetitive. We liked a lot of things especially the price we received with extended hours but we wish the room was slightly bigger and higher ceilings. However, we understand that you can't have it all. We will have 150-160 max guests. Does anyone know the minimum in the dome room? It looks beautiful. Do you think the Doam room will be too big for 160? Thanks

I just booked the Dome Room at JT...we had to guarantee 175.

I'm biased, I fell in love with The Somerley and we booked there right after the room was completed. Both rooms were gorgeous, and even though we contemplated looking at JT this is what won us over for The Somerley. Its brand new. You have that entire section of the building to yourself. I'm not sure how JT is laid out so I don't know if there is shared space between the weddings that go on. FH is building a brand new CH room for the Somerley and you recieve a free overnight stay in one of The Inn's beautiful suites. The Somerley is definitely a bit more rustic/vintage looking IMO, so it really depends what kind of look you are going for with your wedding. You can't go wrong either way. Good luck!

I picked the Penthouse Room. We loved the Dome Room but we can't guarantee that many ppl. JT is amazing and I can't wait to see the new Skylight Room which is where we are having our ceremony!! The food is incredible and the service is amazing you will love JT because they never miss a beat!!

Re: Jericho terrace Dome room or Fox Hollow Somerley Room

FH and I were torn between both rooms as well. We liked certain things about each. The deciding factor for us was the way the Somerley made me feel. I just knew after I left that the Somerley was where I needed to be. I have also heard that even though the dome is pretty, it sometimes drowns the music on the dance floor out. You have to go with your gut and see which room made YOU feel happy the most. WHere can you picture your wedding being?

I also liked the fact that Fox Hollow had more places outside for me to take pictures and stuff seeing as we are getting married there!

Good luck!
