Jericho Terrace Rooms?

Hi!
I was just wondering if anyone knew the guest capacity in each of the Jericho Terrace rooms. The dome and the skylight rooms look very large. I am trying to figure out which room migh fit my guest # about 120 people? II will be visiting friday but I was looking online to get an idea of which room might be appropriate and its difficult to tell. Also do they have outdoor cocktail hour option?

Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

I have the Skylight Room as well. I have it for a Sunday evening and minimum for that room is 150 (but I definitely will not reach that amount). They did say, however, that you could include your vendors if you don't reach the 150. (This way you don't have to pay extra for them.) The Penthouse room is a minimum of 175 right now, but in 2009, it will be a minimum of 200. I'm not sure of the Dome room. I'm guessing the minimum is at least 200 since it is the largest room.

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

well with the skylight room they can do two things, either use up the WHOLE room which can fit about 400 ppl, my minimum for the whole skylight room was 275, they also do half the skylight room and minimum is about 150 or even less

the dome room they say a max of 250 but 250 is too crowded for it to tell you the truth, better to stay a bit under, not sure what minimum is for the dome though, maybe 175

they have another room too that is a bit smaller and does fit 120 guests pretty well

the dome room isnt the biggest actually, when we asked for it they said it was too small for our wedding. The skylight is the biggest since it can hold up to 400 ppl when they open up the whole room. They separate the skylight room pretty well though, ive seen it when its done in half and you wouldnt even know they did it

So I guess that would probably be what they would do for mine... get half of the skylight room. I guess I will see on friday

my ceremony is going to be in 1/2 of the skylight and the cocktail in the other half with a partition b/w the 2.

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

So there are 3 rooms - Skylight, Dome and Penthouse room. On the website looks like they can open up the skylight room and combine it with terrace room. So it sounds like the smallest is the Skylight room when its partitioned off. Is that correct??

The other 2 rooms - Terrace and Garden rooms are only cocktail hours I believe.

That stinks no outdoor cocktail hour option... hmm....

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

Actually...they have another hidden room when you walk down the stairs from the lobby. We're having a small party and when we visited they told us about the Oak Room. I don't know why it's not included in their website. It's nice but not my style which is the only reason we're not booking there. They can give you a min. of 100 and it holds up to 160 from what they say.

I know you're going to see it tomm but just in case anyone else is interested. Sorry - the pix are a little blurry..they're from my MOH's camera phone.

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

I was in the Penthouse room with a minimum of 225....they say it maxes out at 250/260 but honestly we had a PERFECT fit...i wouldn't have wanted more than what we had...

Dome room is beautiful - Robert told us a good max. for the room was 230, but honestly i wouldn't do more than 200...150 would be BEAUTIFUL in there!

The skylight room without opening the whole thing up is about 160

there's also a small room downstairs that's REALLY pretty...

just go take a peek! all the rooms are gorgous & have their own unique style...

good luck!

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

Our minimum in the Dome room is 150 for a Sunday afternoon. I think the night minimum is 175. The Oak room is very nice. and would be perfect for 120. As for the outdoor cocktail room, they have indoor/outdoor feel to them. I love that i dont have to stress about the weather. Also the ceremony is usually in the skylight room, which is set up gorgeous!

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

for the dome room they gave us different minimums depending on the day of the weekn and the time of day - for a saturday night wedding the min was 200 but for a friday night wedding we were able to do 175 minimum - for afternoons it was less but we wanted a night wedding so we didnt bother even hearing the minimum and prices....

i personally dont think the dome room is that big - i wouldnt want more than 200 people in there....our minimum is 175 but we originally only wanted 150 people at our wedding - we are inviting about 235 people and we are hoping for 150-185 people....

rob told us the dome room is very popular and that is why the minimum is high, especially for a saturday night....

i bet depending on what day of the week you book you may be able to get the skylight room - its a beautiful room, we are having our ceremony in there - or even the oak room looks nice too!

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

oh and like the other girls said there is no outdoor cocktail hour - i love places where you can do outdoor ceremony and outdoor CH but for me, i didnt want to book a place based on their outdoor areas when i might not be able to use them (what if it rains/to hot/to cold/to windy) so i didnt want to risk everything on the weather and also i didnt want to pay top dollar in say september and then it ended up being really crappy weather anyway and we paid more money and didnt get to use any outdoor areas - if that happened id be really disappointed and upset.....so after some thinking we decided on a winter wedding - JT has everything inside so it really doesnt matter what the weather is like - and the cocktail hour room we have looks like indoor/outdoor - its a really pretty room and we liked that....if having the option to be outdoors is important to you than i would consider other places - but if you are okay having everything inside then JT is a great place...

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

I am actually have my wedding in the Oak Room which IS the smallest room at JT. I had that room mainly because it was very intimate, cozy and romantic. MY mininum was 100 for August but I am having about 130. You can comfortably fit 12 tables in there but that's it. Here are some pics of the Oak Room.

Re: Jericho Terrace Rooms?

I dont think that Jericho has an outdoor space. We looked at it and felll in love with Leonards of Great Neck. They have beautiul rooms ranging from big to really small weddings. We are having an outdor indoor cocktail with an indoor recpetion. Our room holds up to 150 but we are only inviting 130
