Jericho Terrace Tipping

Hi Ladies! We are getting married in 1 1/2 weeks ahhhh I can't wait to eat food again lol. But, besides that JT is giving us an envelope to put tips in for the staff including the maître de - pretty much one big tip and everyone will split it. Should we tip the matire de on top of that? How do I know he/she will receive the correct amount that should be given??

I'm sure other halls do this as well!

on my contract it says you give an executive tip to the maitre de which he will pass out to all NON SERVICE employees. so this tip goes to chefs, and management.. if you want to tip the servers, bartenders, ect that is NOT IN THAT TIP. also contract says no tip required

Also it states that if you like you can make sealed envelopes to give to the chefs ect instead of giving it to the maitre de.. and management will pass out.. i just dont know if i trust handing say 1000 to the maitre de and hope he doesnt just keep it since it is for him and chefs.. NOT the servers so who would even know?

I plan on going by the day after the wedding since i am in hotel 10 minutes away and hand delivering cards with thank you and tip to the staff. I need to ensure that i get all my vases, candelabras flowers, decor back clean and not broken.

We were told by the bm that we can just put one big tip in an envelope which will be shared among everybody, so i dont think its necessary to tip maître de separate.

Look at you contract it doesn't go to the servers. It goes to the chef. Ect.
