Deciding between the 2 places. Not originally from LI so don't know much about North Ritz. Heard good things about Jerricho Terrace. They are both very different. Does anyone have any advice or know anything about north ritz?? Please help...

my vote is for the north ritz, but that is b/c i am having my wedding there!!!!!!!!
i have been to weddings at jericho terrace that have been awesome, but they have more than 1 wedding at a time. i am not sure if that is something that is important to you. i will bump up the NRC thread for you to read.

I was in BJ's tonight, ran into someone from HS. His wife said 'Where are you getting married?' I said NRC. 'Never heard of it'

I am getting married on 7/22 at the Jericho Terrace.. so I am more biased towards the JT.. but it has a high guest guarantee

My fiance really wanted us to have our reception at Jericho Terrace because it is very close to his house, but once we went to NRC he changed his mind. Here are my thoughts on the subject:
Jericho Terrace is very pretty on the inside, but the outside, well that is another issue. I have been to weddings there and have always enjoyed myself. The food and service were very good. It is rather large and you will see many people from other wedding parties. I would say the only negatives for JT are the outside (I always joked to FH that it looks like a prison), the fact that it is literally right on the sidewalk and the fact that there is alot going on at once. Do they have a garden, I don't remember seeing one?
North Ritz Club, obviously biased since that's the place I chose. It is more quaint than Jericho Terrace. It is also on Jericho Turnpike, but it is set a bit further back. There is a small area with nice grounds and a lake. The inside is beautiful and there is only ONE wedding at a time, which is huge to me! I think the place is beautiful and has alot of charm (inside and outside). I am not certain about the food as I've never attended a wedding there before, but I have heard many good things about it, so I trust it will be good. I have no reason to worry since I have gotten lots of first hand positive feedback. Another bonus is that it is still fairly new so not everyone and their mother has already been there. I love that when I tell people where I am getting married they usually say, 'Where is that?'
Either place is a solid choice. Go with whichever one suits your taste and budget.

i went to a bridal showcase that included a tasting of the meals. it was so good! ia m actually going to call to see if i can schedule a private tasting for me and my fh (he was unable to go with me).

I've seen it set up for a function and it was so beautiful. I have not eaten the food there and have not done a tasting yet. For what it is worth, I have very critical friends who recently attended a wedding there, they told me the food was very good. They raved about the cocktail hour and the vienese hour, stating that it was by far the best they've ever had. The friend is a recent bride who recently got married at the Watermill and was very happy with it, but she said if she were planning a her wedding now she would have it at NRC. So that put my mind at ease. You can do a search on here, many people have reviewed the NRC.

I've never been to the north ritz club but i've driven past and seen pictures....looks nice
I went to a wedding in january at jericho terrace. Room was beautiful and the food was great; however, there were about three other weddings going on and you were constantly walking into the wrong room or passing by other guests. Way too confusing and too many people. That's the only negative aspect about the place that i noticed.

I tasted the food at North Ritz and it was YUMMY!! I have also seen it set up...but it was for a Bat Mitvah (sp?) It still looked really nice...My mother went to a weddng at Jericho Terrace, she said it was very nice, but she too got confused when she walked in bc many people were in the lobby from different weddings...

Of course, I'm biased to North Ritz Club...it's amazingly beautiful and just so elegant.
I have been to a wedding @ Jericho Terrace, it's not my style, wasn't nuts about the fact that they literally 'carved' and served the food on the dance floor. it just freaked me out.

I have been to both locations and I personally do not like Jericho Terrace. It is just not our style. I loved the North Ritz Club. I thought it was very elegant and the ballroom is beautiful. And the price is fantastic. Good Luck!

I checked out jericho terrace, and I DID NOT like it at all. NRC, I have never heard o(but then again I have never heard of Ohekacastle either)

I think you should go with the one that most suits your style. If I had to choose between the two I would pick North Ritz Club. I think it is beautiful!
