Deciding between the 2 places. Not originally from LI so don't know much about North Ritz. Heard good things about Jerricho Terrace. They are both very different. Does anyone have any advice or know anything about north ritz?? Please help...

Is NRC new or did it change owners recently? A lot of people haven't heard of it.
It used to be called Villa Victor - i never saw it how it used to be but apparently it wasnt anything to brag about - the North Ritz Club is entirely renovated.
I absolutely LOVE the North Ritz. I love the fact that it is one wedding at a time. I love the granite dance floor. It is such an elegant atmosphere and i've heard great things about it. I've never tasted the food so I am going by word of mouth - I am going to call for a tasting though before we set our menu.
I saw it all set up for a function during the summer. The cocktail room was beautiful and so attentive to detail. And the ballroom was gorgeous.
FH and I had seen a few places before booking - we had planned to see one more place- but the second we walked into the North Ritz we just knew it was the one.

I vote for North Ritz, its new, only one wedding at a time and I heard many good things.

I'm also going to vote for NRC. I also immediately liked it out of the 15 or so other places I've been to, it's just so classy and elegant, One affair at a time, I've only heard good things about them. I'm not crazy about the style or how the outside looks at Jericho Terrace, I heard the inside ballroom is nice, but if they have multiple events there, thats not always the best thing. And did you hear about that big fight they had there, it was all in the newspapers, I guest was trying to steal a light fixture and the staff started brawling with the guest and their family, bad publicity!!

I picked the North Ritz Club too. My best friend is getting married at Jericho Terrace in Septemeber and while I think it is very pretty inside, it definitely has a 'massive catering hall' feel to it. My FH was sold on the North Ritz because he loved the intimate atmosphere of the place. And the staff seems really accommodating too.
Good luck with your decision - I know it's a tough one and I personally second guessed myself a lot! Try not to let other people influence your decision... go with what you and your FH like! Good luck!

I vote North Ritz...when searching for my hall, Jericho wasn't even in the runnings- However North Ritz came neck and neck with my choice.... so go NRC

Maybe im the only one but I think Jericho terrace is nice on the outside.. then again I dont mind the 'catering hall' look .. I mean thats what it is right?

You have to do what feels right for you.
As a past NRC bride I have to say they are on top of every detail!
What sold me on the NRC:
-- the simple elegance -- one wedding at a time( I only visited places w/ one wedding at a time, this was big for me) -- the people at the NRC, they made me feel at home from the first day
