Jewish Brides - rabbi question

Hi Ladies,
I am looking to have a jewish wedding on a Saturday evening (in August 2011). I was told reform rabbis would perform ceremonies then. Does anyone have a rabbi they could recommend that would do a sat night affair?

try the following (i'm not sure about their prices though, but i know they're really nice):

Rabbi Steve Blane (officiant.org)
Rabbi Andrea Frank (jewish-wedding-rabbi.com)

Good luck!

We are using Rabbi Jo David....she'd definitely marry you then, because she is marrying us and we are interfaith.

Rabbi Renee Feller... she is totally reform and is marrying us on Saturday evening in April

i'm confused. won't all rabbi's perform weddings on saturday night, given the ceremony starts after sundown?

yes, only if it's after sundown ... but that's pretty late during the summertime

Yeah, i've heard of him ... he wasn't available on my day, if i remember correctly, but he seemed nice and his secretary (his daughter, i think) was good about getting back to me really quickly

sorta off topic but related. I thought the jewish brides might find it funny.

so, as many of you know i was married once before. FH wants this wedding.

anyway...I had a really reformed rabbi (or so I thought).. My ex wasn't Jewish.

so the day arrives. i walk down the aisle and there he is...and another guy...***?

so he starts reading...in HEBREW and then....the guy starts SINGING. It was a cantor! who decided to bring a cantor???? then, he continues speaking in Hebrew...I don't speak it at all...so I look at him and shake my head and he hands me a card, so I read it phonetically..sorta and then FH flips it over and it's in ENGLISH on the other side. geez I'm a moron.

anyway, when that cantor burst out LOUDLY singing I jumped back and you can see it in the video! It's hilarious. I think he mixed up my wedding with someone else's.

FH and i are actually going to meet with Rabbi Stein ( we found his name under officiants) he is very reform and might be able to help you out. 'havdallah' ( the end of shabbat) is at 9:17 PM (according to hebcal.com) so it will be very late to start a ceremony.
