FH and I went into Zion Lion today in New Hyde Park just for fun and we ended up finding a ketubah. I am excited. It is making things more real for us.

It really has nothing to do with living together beforehand. Most religions don't really approve of cohabiation before marriage.
The Ketubah is a Jewish marriage contract that is designed to protect the wife. It is not a civil or legal document. It has to do with living a married life in accordance to the laws of Moses and Israel and will compel her husband to grant her a Jewish divorce (get) so that she may remarry.

I am having a fall wedding...this is the ketubah I am planning on getting. My FI is Jewish and I am a non-practicing Catholic. This artist has a special ketubah for interfaith marriages :) http://www.artketubah.com/Ketubah/g_landscape.shtml
Do they have interfaith Ketubahs?? It is very important to me to get one, Also have you guys seen the picture frame making kit that you use to take the glass that you break at your wedding and make it part of a frame? My sister got one for her wedding and it was such a nice idea to take the broken glass from the wedding day and do something with it, but I don't know where to find it. Help!

yes there are interfaith ketubahs - I think ketubah studio has them.
