Big Entrance Dancing Hamotzi and Salad- Orders can be taken 4 dinner First Dance Hora Toasts with Dinner Cake- Cutting Parent Dance
The band says #1. The Maitre D' says #2. Ultimately, it is our decision.
(I should mention our dance is choreographed, so we will do it alone.)
Also, we need to have time to prepare dinner orders, which is why the club is in favor of #2.
What should we do?

We did number one. Right after the first dance, everyone stayed on the dance floor and did the Hora. It was great!!

We are planning on doing #1 as well. It is more traditional, and you know what, you are paying for the wedding, they should not tell you how to have the beginning of it.

I say DEFINITELY #1 - I was at a wedding recently where they did #2 and quite frankly, it seemed anti-climactic. People want to get right into the hora!! JMO

Definitely #1. That's the way we plan on doing it, and it really does get people up and moving, especially for an afternoon wedding.

we did #1. Our dance was also choreographed. Then immediately parents dance and the bridal party (ours was very small so they were together with the parents). And then the hora! yay!

I would say #1 also. That is similar to what we are doing but I actually thing our Hora is coming before the first dance.

i say #1. thats how ive typically seen the reception go. i'm going to do it in that order, i think it flows better

I definitely prefer #1, but I also think I'm going to do my Hora immediately following my entrance - it pretty much flows from the energy of the introduction - everyone is already on their feet, so they all get up and go to the dance floor for a huge Hora. Either way, it will be wonderful!

#1 definitely! But I think going right into a music set after the Hora is the greatest thing because everyone is already on the dance floor for the hora and then they all dance which sets the mood for a fun party! We are planning to that and then do the motzi and 1st course.
