Jewish girls or interfaith girls....I need your help!!!!!!

I need to order yarmulkes ASAP, like yesterday. We're having an interfaith wedding so I don't expect everyone to wear them obviously...but I want to provide the option.
My question is, I haven't even been around them in so long....which ones do people wear nowadways...the small suede ones or the satin ones??? I like the satin ones cause I think they're pretty but is that like, super old-school??? What are you girls getting or did you get? Also, I was going to order them in off-white, is that ok? That or black?

Happen to know if there's any in Queens???? I'm in Astoria...
I'm in Nassau, but I did a search but couldn't find anything in Astoria. What town do you work in? Maybe theres one near there.
I work in downtown Manhattan, by Wall St. I searched online on the yellow pages under judaica and there's some in midtown, but i'm sure they'll be closed by the time I would get to them after work. I'll have to search on Sunday, maybe they'll be open on sundays....

Yea all places wil be closed by midday today. They will definitely be open Sunday.

I ended up getting the satin ones but I think they looked best- FH didn't like the suede ones and we didn't need that many (only needed 3 dozen) so we went with white satin and on the inside in silver imprint it said 'Wedding of Gary & Danielle Bedrick and our wedding date.

Does my FH have to wear a white one? My mom told me she thinks the groom has to wear a white kippah....but if I order black ones, then can he just wear the black? Here's the thing, he's Irish Catholic so he'd just be wearing it out of respect, so if it doesn't totally matter and he won't be disrespecting anyone/anything then he'll just wear the same black ones I order for everyone else. Any idea?

I've never heard that...I doubt it matters, especially if he's not even Jewish. I am getting white moire ones for the general population, and black suede ones for FH, bridal party, fathers, RB's, anyone of 'importance'.

we did black suede
i went to a wedding recently tht had the black satin ones though- its a matter of prefrence.

No, I think she really is just making it up. She has a habit of saying she 'heard' that you're supposed to do certain things when really she just makes it up out of the clear blue.

Funny thing is, is that she wasn't even born jewish. She was lutheran but converted before she married my father. My siblings and I were raised conservative but I really haven't done much of anything since I got bat mitzvahed. My father though was raised VERY conservative, almost orthodox, so maybe she isn't making it up, she definitely paid attention during all her classes I guess.
