We`re having our wedding @ JA`s this September! We are very excited! Up to this point, the staff has been wonderful and the prices are very reasonable for a waterview location. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous in my opinion, and the food is plentiful, customized and absolutely delicious. Do a search on this board, I`m sure you`ll find glowing reviews....

We are having our reception at John Anthony`s. The one thing I knew going in was that I definitely wanted a waterfront view. The room are beautiful, and the prices are definitely reasonable for a waterfront location. The only thing is that there is no other landscaping, but the water view is worth it! Good luck!!!

John Anthony`s price range?
John Anthony's starts at $78 in October. I am not sure about the other seasons. A lot of things are included in that price...valet parking, lots and lots of food, and great service. That is what i have been told. Angelo is throwing in a lot of stuff for me with the food stations, invitations and favors.

I went to a wedding there and everything was a lot of fun and great...we stayed late and they did start cleaning up around us, but I think any hall would do that...they want to go home too

We have an April date for $65/pp with a lot of extras with food stations, desserts, they even gave us a hotel room at the Garden City Hotel for our wedding night! Our banquet manager is Patti, and they have a party coordinator (Ann) who will help you with vendors, invitations, favors, etc. They are having a bridal show in March, the 14th, I think, where you can taste samples of their food, and their in house vendors will be displaying.

John Anthony`s price range?
We're paying $93/pp + tax/gratuity for a Sat. night in Sept. This price includes a tremendous amount of food, valet parking, top shelf liquor, great service, etc. Pretty reasonable for prime wedding season....

I am also booked at JA's, for August. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of stations and dessert did they throw in? Did you ask for this, or they just included it? If you would rather email me, my email is [email protected]. Thanks!!!

Our John Anthony`s specifics...
Our reception was on a Sunday night, at the end of September. We had the Majestic Bay Room. Some of the basics included .. valet parking, bridal suite, bridal attendant, rest room attendants, coat room attendant, choice of colors for linen napkins, bottles of red and white wine on the all the guests tables, top shelf liquor and cordials all night, international coffees. During the cocktail hour, we had butler passed hors d`oeuvres, butler passed frozen drinks (I think pina coladas and margaritas). We also had numerous stations, including carving stations of Roast Vermont Turkey served with raspberry sauce, and London Broil, sliced onto garlic bread. We selected from a wide assortment of foods for the other stations, including chicken croquettes, Eggplant Sicilian, Steak Pizzaiola, Stuffed Cabbage, Kielbasi and Bratwurst. As if all these stations weren`t enough, there was lots of other foods available as well .. I just can`t recall. Dinner included a cold appetizer of mozzarella, tomatoes and grilled vegatables over baby greens. The hot appetizer was spinach and ricotta crepe. Our selection for dinner was a choice of Filet Mignon & Chicken Boscaiola (grilled chicken breast with mushrooms, tomato, prosciutto and brandy), or poached salmon. (Vegetarian & Kosher were available). Guests were permitted to make substitions for all beef or all chicken on the combination plates. All dinners were served with potatoes and fresh vegatables. Dinner rolls and butter were on the tables. Our cake was included. It was yellow cake with chocolate mousse filling and whipped cream icing. At the time of our contract signing, the ice cream bar was included as part of the deal, however, by the time we actually choose the menu, we found out it was an add on, and we were given the choice to pick something else, if we wanted to change. But we kept the ice cream bar .. which everyone seemed to love. I believe we were originally quoted a price something around $78/pp for a Sunday night, but were given a final price of $68/pp, of course not including the taxes and such. Also, the matre`d was to be tipped anywhere from something like $300-$500, but it was our choice within that range. Again, I have to say I truly believe we got a great deal for our money. Plenty of delicious food, good service and a beautiful view (even if it was raining). This was the only place we looked at, and we have absolutely not one single regret about the choice we made.

Thanks so much for answering me Kel. We are getting married there May 25th (a Saturday afternoon). And we are getting the exact same thing. We are also paying $68/pp. I love Anne and Patti and so far I would wholeheartedly recommend JA's to anyone! I love that place and can't wait. 3 more months! :-) Take care and thanks for the input!Welcome New Vendors
