If I remember correctly, on top of their standard menu they gave us a vodka/caviar station, 2 extra international stations, a pasta station and a dessert station. They also will give us candleabras if we choose to use them. When we officially booked with them, they added a room at the Garden City Hotel. We never asked for any of these, they were offered during our initial meeting, however they did say we would have to book within 2 weeks to qualify for these add-ons. We decided to go with JAs cause their menu is phenomenal. You truly get ALOT for the money. We booked a Saturday afternoon in April `03 and are paying $65++ per person. I couldn`t believe the price after hearing the menu. They also have an in-house coordinator (Ann) who will work with you in choosing your photographer, dj, etc. Another plus is if you use their recommended vendors, you don`t have to pay for their meals. Any where you can save will help. The rooms are beautiful and the view can`t be beat. Good luck, and if I can answer any more questions, don`t hesitate to ask!

Thanks for the information. So you are paying $65 or $65 plus? You put down $65++ so I don't know if you mean $65 or more. That sounds great!

Oh I see. Did you get a special deal or know anyone. Here's the thing. We are getting married there in May of this year on a Saturday afternoon also. We have the same menu you have and we are paying $68 pp. Now, for the killer part, she (Patti) claimed becuase our very, very close friend use to be the accountant for JA's, that she was giving us a super, super deal. Now I am wondering if we got a deal at all. Maybe its the time of the year. Maybe April is still in the less expensive months.

Yes, April is still considered off season, which would explain the difference. I don't remember if we got a quote for peak season, but I would consider what you got a deal. When you add the tax and gratuity we're actually paying about $82 a person! Congrats and best wishes on your upcoming wedding.

I meant $68 plus tax and gratuity, not $68 all included. So we are paying about $85-$86. Is that a good deal, do you think. Please respond. Denise

I still think it is a good deal, but would say she just gave you off-season prices for a peak-season date and tried to pass it off as something more than it was. It would depend on what the peak price is. If I remember correctly, I think it is $85 plus tax/gratuity, which would be a good deal, in my opinion.

Oh ok. That is what I was concerned about. What the peak season 'standard' pricing was. I was just making sure she wasn't doing what you said, trying to pass it off as something more than it was. So you are getting married there in April, next year! It is such a beautiful place, and you did the right thing, having a day wedding. I refused to have a night wedding there. Its just to dark at night and you don't get the 'full view!' So are you getting excited? Don't you love Anne and Patti?

Anne and Patti are the best. I`m VERY excited. We booked our photographer last night (Michael O`Neill)!! We`re looking forward to going to the Show so we can taste the food. That`s the one thing I was wary about...I would have preferred to have had a tasting before booking, but I`ve heard nothing but good things about the food. The view truly is amazing and I agree you can only really appreciate it during the day. So you must be in the final stages of your planning. Are you using many of the in-house vendors? Which ones did you like best?

Trust me the food is out of this world. We booked JA's October of 2000. So we have been to both showcases during 2001. One in March and one in September, I think. The food is amazing. Nothing to worry about there. Isn't it great, when you mention where you are getting married all the Oh's and Ah's you get! :-) Yes we are in the final stages. We went all in-house except for our DJ. We are using Patken for photo, Candlelite Video for our video, our Dj was recommended to us by a friend, our florist is Flower Michele who is AWESOME and at a great price, limos was AllStar. And i think that is it. Let me know if you have any questions! Talk to you soon. DeniseWelcome New Vendors
