we opened a joint savings last year to start saving for the wedding
we are going to open a joint checking this weekend but FH will only use it for now but we will close mine and use the joint one once we move in together (i figured it would just be too hard to balance the checkbook if we are only together on weekends

Ive been thinking about that, may just open one up this weekend, and everytime we have spare money we can just throw it in there.

I dont know if I want to have a joint checking acct though. I like spending my money, really dont want him down my back if when he see the atm withdrawals..![]()

I think we're going to do the same. although our parents are contributing to the wedding...we would like to save together so we can contribute ourselves as well.

We're going to open a wedding related joint account and we're both going to contribute equal amounts each month. After we're married I feel everything will be 'our' money. Until then, we keep everything except for wedding money separate.

i will be opening one with mine in the next week, we are putting out e-party $ in there and adding as we go along, for the wedding

we have a joint account that we've been putting our gifts into and eventually what we will get from our e-party.... I think this was to most exciting thing for FH so far (he works at the bank)

We have a joint checking and savings that our paychecks go into to pay the bills then we have separate savings accounts where we keep our own fun money too

Yes after our E-party we put all the money we got into a joint savings...but even after we get married we are still going to keep our checking and savings separate and just 'assign' who pays what bill.
