we dont plan on doing this until we are married... we are still individuals so no, we we arent doin that
Neither are we. We live together, and split everything down the middle. He has savings and so do I. I'm a hound with my money and I know if I saw a debit purchase for a video game or something he likes, i'd prob yell about it. So to save the fighting, We keep seperate finances. Its worked so far(except with the RH we had booked, it just cost too much!)

Re: joint accounts
Yes we have had one for about a year since we are saving to buy a house...just remember that if you open a joint account you both have equal access which means that god forbid things go bad, either one of you can go into the bank and close out the account w/o the other knowing.

Re: joint accounts
FH and I have a joint checking and savings. For me, putting our money together was a big step towards our committment to each other. We live together, have been for 4 years. We enjoy seeing our savings grow, paying bills togehther, etc. Yeah, it's caused some fights, but I truly feel that we've become much more closer and invested in the relationship. By putting ourselves on the same page financially has really strengthened our relationship and communication

Same here...when we moved in together we opened a joint checking and savings account...I actually prefer it...we compromise, discuss things we are going to by and are fine with it!
