I agree Kate treats Jon a little shady...but I don't know how I'd treat my husband if I had 8 kids...and whether she was mean or not....it doesn't mean you should cheat or sit on cable tv and say 'I'm young, I'm only 32...this is a new chapter for me', while your wife cries and says 'I don't want to do this alone...' She may be mean, but he ticked me off big time!
I agree that his statement about being excited was douchey but I think the fame & money got to kate. At least now the fighting wont be around the kids. I really dont like when parents stay together just for the kids cause its not healthy for them and they know that somethings up.
I think they will need therapy when they are older and Mady needs therapy NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, and I'm not saying it is ever right to cheat on anyone ever, I think that woman is horrid. I understand that she has 8 kids, and she's stressed every day, blah blah blah ... but I find her to be an incorrigible b itch. I don't really have an opinion on Jon, but that woman is just horrible and I can't imagine anyone would ever be happy being married to her.
As much as she might say otherwise, IMO I think she's probably thrilled this is all playing out in the spotlight ... it means lots of $$$ for her because of the ratings. I'm sick of hearing about these people, to be quite honest. Hopefully this season will be the last.
End rant.

I have to agree... I only feel bad for the kids, both the parents are greedy and disgusting.. and they dont care that their wholes lives are flashing on all the gossip mags?? Like Jon doesnt know that him looking for an apt in NYC isnt going to end up in the mag? Thats just a fame ***** ... I feel bad for the kids

Yeah when I was watching last night I was thinking god, hes so cold...but I really think she has just pushed and pushed and he got to breaking point. Sad part is, that she didn't realize that the whole time she was pushing him away.
Sad for the kids. How come they all look like him? (I always found that odd)

well... i didn't see the episode but just saw the 'announcement' on tlc's website.
i think both kate and jon are at fault. its takes two people to make and break a marriage. the added stress that both their actions put on one another definitely didn't help. as a product of divorce i think that if you are unhappy you should get divorced. it is not fair to 'stay together for the kids.' its makes it worse in the long run. my aunt and uncle have 'stayed together' for their kids and the situation could not be worse.
even though i think they are both wrong for treating each other the way they did, it is a hard decision especially when the kids are involved but they are right in saying that they shouldn't be fighting in front of their children.
still sad either way...

For a while I thought...damn, she is a b itch. But he was always a huge whimp that NEVER stood up for himself. He allowed her to treat him that way. We don't know what it is like to have 8 children and a husband that has to be told how to tie his shoes, so to say that she is a horrible b itch is a bit much. As for Jon, be a man but don't decide that since you are now famous and recognized by these twenty something girls that you have to figure out the next chapter of your life. I was soooo mad when he said 'I'm only 32...I am excited and scared for what will happend next.' Seriously dude....you are a looser and any girl that dates you now is just that a girl...not a woman.
