For all those that have Wamu accounts.....we are now chase customers!!!!!!!!!!!!
ughhh chase ***** im sorry to say! i had them and switched to commerce. so much better experience.
I am sooo happy!!! FH and I were planning on going there this weekend to close our accounts. I wonder how long it will take for chase to take over?
Yea, thank God I pulled my money out of WaMu when the stocks were at $1 a share... Chase stinks. FH has had SO many issues with them.

AND takeovers are nasty. I work at Capital One...and was there when they were North Fork....and worked through all the transitions....bad things tend to happen during merges....things that if I posted them I could lose my job![]()
Needless to say...right before conversion I closed my accounts at the bank I work for!

They will reissue soon ... Chase already has their logo up ... It ironic you know becuase in early Sept. Chase offered WaMu $8 per stock and they refused and now they got nothing in the deal - it was a sieze basically ...
Anyway, Chase is awesome and their customer serivce is great, in my experience and they really are everywhere ... so you wont be disappointed

That is how I feel about Chase I know before they where not customer service oriented . But when Wamu and Commerce open they really focused on Retail banking and customer service. So they definitely improved in that area. I just love that fact that I do not have to think twice about were there is a chase bank they are everywhere.

I agree, they weren't good before, but in the past 3-5 years they def improved their CS and they really help you out now, at least all the branches that I have ever been too ... but I used to work at a bank so maybe im more sympathetic because I used to put up with all the same cr*p as they do!![]()

Just told FH and he wasnt happy. we're both going to citibank this weekend to switch everything (i have hsbc and apparently its non existant on the island)

All my wedding money is in my Wamu account - I'm really sad about Wamu leaving I've been their customer since the begining - even before they were on the east coast!
I'm pulling all my money out and putting into Bank of America today.... *sigh* I'm really upset about this![]()

You can still leave it there!! Your money is safe. Just check into Bank of America Fee's beforehand.
I have used Chase for the past three years and they have been great.
I used to work for Chase. When I was there customer service was a big deal. However, since Bank One took over the service has gone down the drain. Just yesterday I switched by direct deposit so that I can close my Chase employee account. My friends who still work there tell me how awful working there is now. It seems to me that all banks are horrible these days. Its just a matter of finding one that is less horrible.
I have my mortgage with WAMU, I hope there is no issues with them

I would do that as well ... FH has BOA and he hates it, he says their online banking is horrible and they have lots of hidden fees ... he is moving banks closer to the wedding
