If we have our wedding at a catering hall that's on the water can we have a black tie wedding?

Personally, I dont think location of a wedding should dictate black tie or not - ONLY the bride and groom should! If you wanted a black tie weenie roast in your back yard, then go for it! I would but Im getting married in February so my backyard is out of the question!!! BUT I am having black tie inside!

I completely agree...and to boot.I've been to a black tie on the beach before..its very nice!

Just put black tie preffered at the botton of your invites..or do word of mouth..so people don't think that they can go casual
