Do the junior bridesmaids get the same dress as the regular bridesmaids?
Do you think it would look silly if i had the JB's in a similar dress with a lighter color? I'm doing sky blue for my BM's. Do you think a lighter blue would look ok? Or should i stick with the same color?
Suggestions please, I need to order them tomorrow!

It's your wedding - do whatever you want.
Our Jr. BM is wearing the same designer, same color, and same material as the BM's.

My Jr. BM (first one on the left) had the same dress as my BMs. We added straps onto her dress.

My niece is 11 and I don't consider her a lil kid so I wanted to have her in the same dress but they didn't make it in her size so I had no choice but to get a JR. Bridesmaid dress for her which cost just as much. She really like it better than the bridesmaids dress so I was hapy with it. It's by the same maker and will be the same color.
I like the way it looks in pictures i think with the junior bridesmaids wearing the same gown..

My jrBM is FH's daughter, so I want her in a completely different dress so she stands out. After all, she's a very special part of our big day too!! Of course, she'll be in the same color as the BMs but the style of dress will be more appropriate for an 8 y/o.

did they make your dress in tea legnth?
For my girls that are young, they make it in tea legnth, and it wound up working

my Jr. bridesmaid had the same gown but with straps and less cleavage
ya know- age appropriate.
I think both of your ideas would work....same color or lighter.
My inclination would be to put MOH's in a different color if anything

My sister for her wedding used a light pink color for her Jr bridesmaids and Burgundy dresses for BM. It looked nice. I am even thinking of doing it myself.

nicolehojo - Thanks for the suggestion. I asked sooooo much for the same exact dress but the salon told me the only thing they could really do was contact the manufactuer and see if they would do like a one off or try to alter something on it to make it more appropriate for my niece. They said it had been done before so I was totally going to try to do that. When my niece saw this dress she got all excited because it was just perfect for her!! They even had it in her size to try on so she felt like the other bridesmaids who got to try on their dresses. It was important for me to have her try to fit in.

I have two juniors. I didn't want to start doing all different dresses for MOH, maids, Jr's. My two Jr's are wearing different dresses from the big girls cause IMHO you can't put little girls in sexy dresses. My Jr's are wearing a lavendar color same as the big girls and the jr's dress will match the flower girls dress but her's will be in white....Am I confusing anyone?
The first pic is my big girl maids the second will be for the two juniors in lavendar and another of the same in white the color that is shown for my flowergirl.
