Jury Duty

Anyone else have to go out to Riverhead tomorrow for Jury Duty??..because I DO!!! So annoyed...they should pay for our gas!!!

It was painful...My Dad had jury duty as well and had to go to Islip and he said he was in and out within an hour because they questioned everyone at the same time in the beginning to see who had conflicts...not in my case! They took 30 of us into this small room and the 2 lawyers questioned each juror individually while the rest of us listened, I knew right away I had a few conflicts with the case and they would dismiss me but I ended up being there till 4pm and was the 2nd to last juror in the room to be called and they called my name and I was dismissed 2 seconds later..soooo annoying! At least I don't have to go back for 6 yrs though!

ughhh not fun... I had it once.. Had to wait an hr and since it was after there lunch session they had found everyone they needed. phew

Niiiiiiiiice!

They said I should prepare for 4 weeks.. so I kind of hope I get off on the first day like you. Even though I'm sure it was a loooooong day.
