The only two children at the wedding will be in the BP. I'd be happy to have a 100% children free wedding, but I am not going to ask the parents who are also invited to drop there kids off after the ceremony. Its not that I don't like kids, I just want all the adults to have a good time and enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Re: Just a question
We have 4 small children in the BP.
We don't intend on inviting children under 18.

Re: Just a question
yup children are welcome at the wedding...FH has a LOT of nieces and nephews and young cousins so to exclude them would be wrong...whether their parents want to bring them or not is another story..but they are invited

Re: Just a question
Thankfully there are only a few preteens/ teenagers in the fam., so they will be invited. I wouldn't want little kids running around either. I just went to a wedding where there were about 15 kids under 10...they took control of the dance floor, the wedding turned into Romper Room.

Re: Just a question
OMG im so happy you guys posted this Q- me and FH were discussing this last nite, he agrees with me that we really dont want little kids at the wedding (his side has about 10 kids under the age of 10) but he thinks that it will cause drama not to invite them, especially since the FG and RB will be invited....any suggestions on how to make this work??

Re: Just a question
Well, what Anthony and I are doing is the invitations will say
Mr and Mrs whatever
with no kids on the invite - but since we are allowing kids. . .if they want to bring them and call us up we will say okay
but since you DONT want kids hopefully people will ask and you can explain that you are not having children
i think everyon expects the kids in the BP to be there so thats not a big deal
Some brides write 'Adults Only Reception' on the RSVP cards if you dont want to risk people writing stuff in

Re: Just a question
no children under 18 will be invited.. I have a few cousins, but FI's mom is 1 of 16 so he has 36 FIRST cousins alone.. To take the ease off the cost, his family has always made the cut off age 18.. I only think it is fair that we both agree with that cut off age because having my 4 little cousins and zero of his isn't fair.. however, we did comprimise and let 2 'younger' children (1 from each side) attend so they aren't left out in their families.

Re: Just a question
Nope no kids just ours which are in the BP, my other BP members and my 2 little brothers(ushers). Which BTW almost makes 1 table so I guess we'll be having about 10 kids.. Invites will go out saying 'Adult Reception'.Who ever doesn't like it doesn't have to come... I don't mean to sound rude but there are too many in the family to make exceptions... It just wouldn't be fair.. My mom is 1 of 11, dad is 1 of 10, FMIL is 1 of 10 and FFIL is 1 of 5.

Re: Just a question
I have 2 children... so I don't mind kids. Plus I am older and most of my friends are married with kids.
I will be having a couple of tables set up specifically for the kids - with special favors, etc.. I am hiring a couple of people to entertain and play with them all afternoon.
Kids always bring a new perspective into things for me. I can't wait to see them enjoying our wedding day!

Yes theyre all invited... cousins kids MUST be there, we're a very close family. We're still up in the air about non-relatives' kids though..

Re: Just a question
No kids in the bridal party and no kids at the wedding. We agreed no kids at the wedding but I would have liked to have had a FG and a RB. We cant choose between the families (too many kids) so we are not having any.
