did it take you to set a wedding date from the time you got engaged??
We set a date about 2- 2 1/2 weeks after we got engaged.

4 mths but that could be because when FH proposed I was caught up in our new baby girl who was not even 1 month old at the time.

We had an idea of when we wanted it. We went to Aruba with my family about 2 days after we got engaged so we didn't book a place until about 3-3 1/2 weeks until after we got engaged.

I think it was about a month or so, because we got engaged a week before Christmas. I wanted to wait until the holidays were over before we started looking.

about 3 months - we got engaged July 19 and signed the RH contract on October 25. I wanted to take some time to just enjoy being engaged

got engaged on wednesday... went to look at halls on Sunday... and booked the following week. I had to wait for the Church to get back to me that they had the date open

I got engaged on September 20th.. We booked the church about 2 weeks ago.. so I guess a month or so :0)

I can't even remember but it was pretty fast probably within in a month we had 3 dates that we were toying with. After visitiing the halls to check each date we still went with our first choice 10/10/10!

I guess it was about a month before we set the date and booked the venue. But I started thinking about it right away!

Months but that's because I didn't delve right into wedding planning. We decided to enjoy the holidays and our time as an engaged couple before beginning to plan. We started to look into halls about 13 mos. before our chosen date.

7 months!! We had a hard time deciding what we wanted to do. Originally we were going to have a destination wedding but then decided to just have something here so all of our families could celebrate with us.

it took us about 4 months to get an idea of the weekend/timing..and then another month after that to book the RH.

It took us about a year to officially sign for the RH. We got engaged in July of 08 but FH had a semester of school to finish so right after he proposed he said he needed to finish school before we could plan anything. That was fine with me, I had already waited 10 1/2 years to be engaged,another 5 months was ok. Plus it would be August by the time we got home and then the holidays came around and I had my 2 friend's wedding in Sept 08 and March of 09 I was in.
We finally started looking at halls in January/Feb of 09 (as went back and forth re: destination wedding & family drama) and finally signed for WM on July 14 of this year. One day shy of exactly 1 year from our wedding.
