did it take you to set a wedding date from the time you got engaged??
We set a date about 2- 2 1/2 weeks after we got engaged.

About three months. I was totally not into planning at all at the beginning, and then as soon as we set a date...at the end of the summer...I moved into full gear!!

we semi had a date before we got engaged!! haha bc we wanted 10/10/2010- but then when we realized it was a sunday- we changed it to 10/8!

we talked about this before our engagement and came up with end of april, but didn't set it until we found our hall which i think was around a month after engagement!

6 weeks. We waited about 3 weeks before we even looked at locations. We had a general date in mind the day after we got engaged.

It took like 3 months. Why so long? Because DH's sister threw a fit when we got engaged, and got engaged not 3 weeks later. We waited for them to pick a date and figure out their wedding first. They got engaged in March and married that September. So needless to say the beginning of our engagement was rocky to say the least.....

We got engaged on December 21st, and booked our hall on April 26th.
I just wanted to enjoy the feeling of being engaged before jumpin headstrong into wedding planning.
Now it's November and all I've done so far is get my gown and pick out BM dresses. We know what photog we want to use, but haven't had time to get over there to sign a contract due to some travelling we've been doing.
