2 days. He proposed on a Thursday we decided on the date on the Saturday. Originally we were planning on going to Italy next October for a vacation, so FI wanted to have the wedding in 2011. We were thinking May/June at first and then after thinking more about it we decided to scrap the Italy trip before the wedding and put it after the wedding. We picked 2/18/11 because that will be our 2 year anniversary. Less dates to remember.

um.. got engaged in july, booked in april or may...so almost a year. we had a lot going on and wanted to check out as many halls as possible.

we ended up setting exaclty 1 week after... we didn't plan to do that, we sort of fell into a perfect situation!

It was about 2 weeks. We knew we wanted to get married over the summer and those dates would book quickly.

We got engaged on January 16 -- DH was living far away (NC) for several months by then and we were hating the long distance so much. He would come up to NY and stay with me for one week every 6 weeks or so. So he came up on a Friday and proposed 10 minutes after we got home that night! (The ring was burning a hole in his pocket lol!!!)

We went the next weekend to look at the Milleridge Cottage because my step-mom recommended it and several friends said I'd love it there, knowing me, and since DH was still in town (he usually came Friday - Sunday when he came to NY). We booked it that day.

So I guess the answer is 8 days.

SIL and I had been talking about 7/11 or 7/18 or 7/25 as possibilities since her husband was supposed to be home from Afghanistan those weeks for a break from the army and we really wanted him to come. We booked 7/18 because it was the Brooklyn area code (DH didn't like 7/11 anyway because it's like the store -- he's funny like that) and then BIL didn't end up getting his leave until September. By then we were happily married for 2 months.

Yes, it was a quick turn-around, but I'm so happy about it. I don't know if I could've put up with the suspense you gals have planning a wedding for more than 6 months!!!! Power to you!!!!

Um, about a week. I didn't mess around and I still didn't get the dates we originally wanted at our church! But we're very happy with 11.7

It actually took us a lot longer than we anticipated!!!!
The night we got engaged 4/17/09, we were telling ppl that we would probably set a Fall date but once we started looking @ RH, we began to also consider Spring dates....We ended up booking our RH in August so it took us about 4 months & we ended up w/a July date!!!

7-8 weeks...we got engaged on 6/22/08, which was a Sunday, started looking at RHs in July, , brought our parents back for second visits, and actually booked when FH was in Greece, our RH came back to us with a lowered price and minimum, and with the time difference we barely caught each other on AIM and email, and as luck would have it he came around just minutes after I got that news, and he gave me the go ahead to run and book from overseas lol.

About a Month because we got engaged a few days before Christmas so we waited until the New Year to start looking.

we got engaged in feb and booked our reception hall late march early april,i forget, so 1-2 months, we narrowed it down to may like the first week we were engaged and then waited to see what dates were available once we picked our RH, but 15 is my favorite number so i kind of wanted it may 15th from the first few weeks after our engagement, but it wasnt set until 1-2 months later :).

2 weeks!!! A very long 2 weeks. I got sick because i was traveling so much

We originally wanted 10/10/10 since way before we were engaged...but after we got engaged we realized money couldnt be raised that fast. So about a month, I realized I wanted 7/10/11. 7/10 was our first date and we consider 7/11 our anniversary so it was perfect, combined all three significant dates in one!
