As many of you know, this year has been hell for FH & I. I have even had to cancel my dream venue because of health/money issues. My Mom has been useless to us and has shown no interest in planning but yet wants to 'shine' on the Day Of our wedding.When asked by my MOH to help with my bridal shower my Mom said she couldn't 'afford' it. I haven't received any help from either of our parents so we've been struggling. Mom claims she's broke and can't help. Fine, I didn't count on them helping so it wasn't a 'biggie'. But I HATE being lied to! I just found out that my 'broke' Mother is going on a 7 Day Cruise with her Girlfriends the first week of June and she didn't tell me..I found out 'by accident'. She hasn't mentioned going on a cruise at all!! I have been hurt time & time again by her through this planning process. She knows what we have been going through but yet she continues to be so very selfish. Am I being unreasonable?????????

Ohhhh honey!! I don’t think you’re being unreasonable at all. How hurtful!!! I’ve had to deal with this kind of stuff, not with my mom, but with other people who shall remain nameless and I’m in between shock and hurt. I’m so sorry you have to go through this
